Mama Glow - BIRTH IS A THRESHOLD. JOY IS THE REMEMBERING. ✨

There are moments when the veil feels thin. When time softens, the body becomes a portal, and life arrives in a way that reminds us we are in the presence of something sacred.

Birth is not simply an arrival. It is a crossing.

A mother crossing into a new becoming. A baby crossing into the world. A family crossing into a love that will forever reshape them.

And in that sacred in-between — the breath, the surrender, the first cry, the tears, the laughter — there is joy. Not always loud or easy, but profound. The kind of joy that rises from the deepest places within us. The kind that asks us to witness rather than explain.

At Mama Glow, we honor birth as both a human experience and a sacred passage. We honor the power of the birthing body, the wisdom of the ancestors, the hands that hold, the voices that affirm, and the presence that reminds each birthing person: you are not alone in this crossing.

To witness birth is to stand at the threshold of the divine.

To protect that space is an act of reverence. To make room for joy is an act of care. To honor the one who gives birth is to honor life itself.

Join Mama Glow Foundation for an intimate evening with multidisciplinary artist Molly Gochman, moderated by Tara Clark, founder of Modern Mom Probs, exploring motherhood, memory, lineage, reproductive experience, and the stories we carry in our bodies.

The conversation follows Mama Glow Foundation and Molly Gochman Studio’s Navel Casting Ceremony, a participatory artwork that considers the navel as a site of remembrance and connection. Molly’s ongoing Navel Casting practice begins with one of the body’s smallest marks – the place where one body once connected to another – and opens into larger questions around motherhood, ancestry, pregnancy and infant loss, healing, and the ways reproductive experiences shape us.

Through a candid conversation with Tara, Molly will share more about the origins of the work, why she was drawn to the navel, and how ritual, art, and collective participation can create space for experiences that are often deeply personal but widely shared.

Together, they’ll explore questions around connection and separation, motherhood and identity, grief and transformation, lineage, memory, and what it means to make private experiences visible through art. The evening will include a moderated conversation followed by audience Q&A, with time before and after to gather, connect, and experience The Soft Space.

Mama Glow Foundation is honored to invite you to participate in the Navel Casting Ceremony: A Ritual of Connection, Remembrance & Storytelling, a collaborative project with artist Molly Gochman taking place on Wednesday, October 21st at The Soft Space in Williamsburg.

As we continue to commemorate Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, we are pleased to highlight the transformative work of artist, Molly Gochman.

Molly Gochman’s Navel Casting ceremonies turn the body’s smallest scar into a place of remembrance and connection, honoring the mothers, lineages, and stories we carry. Through the intimate process of casting the navel, participants will be invited into a ritual of reflection, remembrance, and storytelling. The broader project explores themes of motherhood, pregnancy and infant loss, reproductive experience, lineage, memory, healing, and transformation.

The navel marks the place where one body ended and another began, the first evidence of a mother’s nourishment, given long before we were aware of it. For Mama Glow’s community, the ceremony opens space to reflect on motherhood, pregnancy and infant loss, healing, and the many ways our reproductive experiences shape who we are. Rooted in Molly’s long-standing practice of care and collective, participatory work, each ceremony is an invitation toward surrender, release, and renewal, and a reminder that none of us does anything entirely alone.

Mama Glow - THE HOLDING CIRCLE: A Community-Centered Retreat for Pregnancy & Infant Loss

In recognition of Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month, Mama Glow invites you to The Holding Circle, an intimate, community-centered retreat for individuals and families navigating miscarriage, stillbirth, infant loss, and other forms of reproductive loss.

Pregnancy and infant loss can be profoundly isolating. Grief may continue long after the clinical encounter has ended, often without the space, language, or community needed to hold everything that follows. At Mama Glow, we believe reproductive health includes every outcome along the reproductive journey. Loss deserves care, remembrance, and community, too. The Holding Circle creates a space to gather without expectation or explanation.

Throughout the afternoon, participants will move through guided meditation and grounding, facilitated group counseling, reflective journaling and paired sharing, and a collective remembrance practice honoring pregnancies and lives lost. The retreat will close around a nourishing shared meal, creating time to settle, connect, and close the afternoon with care.

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Month. 🤍

For those who have experienced pregnancy loss, stillbirth, or the loss of an infant, this time can hold so many emotions — grief, love, longing, anger, tenderness, and memories that never leave.

At Mama Glow, we want to remind you: your baby mattered. Your love matters. Your grief matters.

And if someone you love is experiencing loss, you don’t need perfect words. You don’t need to fix their pain. Often, the most meaningful thing you can do is simply stay.

🤍 Say their baby’s name.
🤍 Check in, even when you don’t know what to say.
🤍 Listen without trying to make the grief smaller.
🤍 Remember important dates and milestones.
🤍 Offer specific help — a meal, childcare, errands, or simply sitting beside them.
🤍 Don’t compare their loss or tell them when they should “move on.”
🤍 Keep showing up after the flowers and condolences have faded.

Grief doesn’t follow a timeline. And neither does love.

To every parent remembering a baby this month: we see you, we remember with you, and we hold space for the love that will always be part of your story. 🕊️

Fertility treatment can transform the way people experience their bodies, relationships, desire, and s*x. What once felt spontaneous or intimate can begin to feel scheduled, clinical, or closely tied to reproduction.

Fertility treatment is never only clinical. The experience can shape body image, communication, pleasure, pelvic health, partnership dynamics, and the ways people relate to intimacy throughout the process. Between Us brings together leaders across reproductive medicine, pelvic health, s*xual wellness, and maternal health for an interdisciplinary conversation about what it takes to remain connected to yourself and to your partner while navigating fertility treatment. Together, we’ll explore intimacy across the fertility journey: from the pressures of timed s*x and medical intervention to changes in desire, physical comfort, emotional wellbeing, communication, and the possibility of reconnecting with pleasure beyond reproduction.

Mama Glow - Breastfeeding Awareness Month & Black Breastfeeding Week - LACEVO hosted a launch event at The Soft Space by Mama Glow with Mama Glow where an intimate group of birth professionals and families gathered to learn about their new products!

August is Breastfeeding Awareness Month, an opportunity to reflect, learn, and amplify our collective commitment to breastfeeding/chestfeeding as both an individual feeding choice and an important public health measure. Breastfeeding awareness is about more than promoting breastfeeding—it is about ensuring that families have access to accurate information, skilled support, culturally responsive care, and the tools they need to make informed decisions about how they feed their babies. It also creates space to acknowledge the realities that can impact infant feeding, from access to lactation support and healthcare to workplace policies, social determinants of health, and the experiences of families who may face barriers to reaching their feeding goals.

As technology continues to evolve, consumers have greater opportunities to make informed choices about the growing number of products and services available to support pregnancy, birth, postpartum recovery, and infant feeding. With that growth comes an important responsibility to understand the evidence behind emerging solutions, consider how technology can complement—not replace—human-centered care, and ensure that innovation remains responsive to the needs of families and the professionals who support them.

The recent LACEVO event hosted at the Soft Space by Mama Glow offered a meaningful opportunity to do just that. The gathering brought together birthworkers, healthcare stakeholders, and others working across the maternal and infant health landscape for an intimate conversation and hands-on opportunity to learn about emerging technology designed to support breastfeeding/chestfeeding and infant feeding.
