Production Junction Camera Rentals is Hiring:
We are a camera rental shop located in the East Village. Position is for an entry level Rental Tech. The position is ideal for those who want to skip over being a production assistant and go directly into the camera or sound departments. Previous experience is not required and training is provided on the job but past experience with film equipment and a desire to have a career behind the camera a must.
Salary starts at $35,000.
10 days paid vacation.
10 days paid holidays each.
Up to 10 unpaid personal days.
Salary review every 6 months.
Opportunity to take two days a month for freelance jobs after 6 months.
Opportunity to take four days a month for freelance jobs after 12 months.
This is a position that has been offered by PJ for nearly 20 years and with each technician we have become better at catering the position to foster a successful career in motion pictures. Usually technicians are with us for two years at which point they naturally flow into full time freelance work starting at day rates between $400-600. And many have gone onto make 90-100K a year as well as joined various film unions.
