Get clear on what makes you different.

Funders are not just looking for good organizations. They’re looking for specialized solutions that stand out in a crowded landscape.

Ask yourself:
✔ What do we offer that no one else does quite the same way?
✔ What need do we meet in a way others don’t?
✔ Where are we the best-fit solution?

Specialization builds trust. It signals focus, clarity, and credibility — all of which drive funding decisions.

If you’re feeling stretched in every direction, it’s time to reset your focus.

Start here:
- Identify two key outcomes you can measure and track. Out of everything you do, which two results reflect your real impact?
- Make sure the right people are in the right seats. Skills can be taught, but shared vision, mindset, and collaboration are non-negotiable.
- Simplify your metrics. Strengthen your team.

That’s how sustainable growth happens.

PKC helps nonprofits cut through the noise and build strategies that actually work. Let’s make 2026 the best year yet!

Entering the new year like…

01/07/2026

Future-proofing your nonprofit starts by letting go of how things used to work.

Stop looking in the rearview mirror. The challenges of 2022 through 2025 won’t define your future, but your next steps will.

Ask yourself:
✅ Where are we going, not just where have we been?
✅ What are our core strengths today?
✅ What will our community need tomorrow?

Your ability to adapt, focus, and lead with intention is what sets the foundation for long-term impact.

PKC helps organizations align vision with strategy so they can grow with purpose and clarity. Schedule your free consult today!

We saw a ton of change in 2025, much of which did not reflect our values and what we aspire towards. We are called to bring an equal amount of empathy, compassion, and ingenuity.

As things break, we build. They do not need to be sequential and can run concurrently. Continue building. Keep working. Keep creating, keep hoping, keep connecting.

Engaging in good work for something greater than our ego is how we stay healthy. Challenges make champions, and resistance builds strength. This is how we achieve a prosperous 2026.

Invest in community building. Invest in yourself, the organizations around you, and your communities.
Happy New Year, everyone! Let’s not focus on cruelty and crassness, but instead invest and engage our minds, hearts, souls, and muscles with ingenuity, imagination, creativity, connection, and community. ✨

Your mission statement is everywhere:

At the top of your grant proposals, sponsorship decks, tax forms, and in every conversation your team has about your work.

But is it still accurate?
Is it still compelling?
Does it reflect who you are now and the impact you’re actually making?

A mission statement that’s outdated or unclear doesn’t just fall flat, it can actively hold you back.

Revisit it. Tighten it. Make sure it reflects the heart, mind, and purpose of your organization.

Wishing you peace, warmth, and connection this holiday season.

At PKC, we’re grateful for the missions we support and the communities we serve. Whether you’re pausing to rest or reflecting on your impact, we hope your Christmas is filled with joy and meaning.

Spreading the nonprofit’s mission whenever and wherever I can!

12/18/2025

If you want people to care about your mission, you have to make it real for them.

It’s not just about data. And it’s not just about emotion.
It’s about combining the two to build connection, empathy, and action.

✔ Data gives credibility
✔ Stories create understanding
✔ Press and visibility expand your reach
✔ Passion brings it all together

But here’s the key: people don’t support concepts. They support people, purpose, and stories that move them.

At PKC, we help nonprofits build cases that resonate and inspire.
Let’s make your message impossible to ignore!

🌍 December is Universal Human Rights Month, a time to reflect on the rights and freedoms every person deserves: dignity, safety, and justice.

While human rights should never be up for debate, they’re still being denied every day. That’s why we’re highlighting organizations working year-round to protect and expand those rights:

🟦 – Defending civil liberties across the U.S.
🟦 – Legal aid and advocacy for immigrants and asylum seekers
🟦 – Combating hate and systemic racism through education and litigation
🟦 – Supporting asylum seekers with holistic, community-based care
🟦 – Ending local human trafficking through survivor support and awareness
🟦 – Fighting for access, equity, and disability justice

📣 Support them. Share their work. Stay informed.

If you’re treating a sponsor like an ATM, you’ve already missed the point.

Behind every partnership is a person — someone making decisions, taking risks, and choosing whether to invest their time, energy, and resources in your mission.

It’s not just a transaction. It’s a relationship.

When we lead with empathy and build real connections, everything changes.
