Studio 33 is officially the new home of SELA Art Center and we’re honored to announce the return of Speakeasy Life Drawing on Monday, June 8th.

Starting back in February 2022, , the founder of SELA Art Center, and a group of artists shared a dream to bring back the fundamentals of art through accessible local spaces and community connection. That dream came to fruition and has continued to thrive over the last few years through creativity and collaboration.

We’re incredibly excited to return and reunite with cherished faces while welcoming the Long Beach creative community into our new space. ✨

It was a privilege to collaborate with fine artist Karon on her latest sculpture, “Descendants,” featured in the group exhibition MONUMENTS, now on view at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA x The Brick in Los Angeles through May 3, 2026.
The group exhibition “…reflects on the histories and legacies of post- Civil War America as they continue to resonate today…” and is a direct response to many monument removals we’ve seen across the US.
