🎃👻 Happy Halloween from Lakeview Landscapes! 🍂🧡

We had a great time getting out into the community and being part of several Trunk or Treat events this year! From the Cuyahoga County Fair Trunk or Treat, Village of the Falls Trunk or Treat in North Olmsted, Young Professionals of Parma Parma Heights Freights, and Cuyahoga Community College Trunk or Treat in Highland Hills, it was great seeing everyone come together to celebrate the season!

A huge thank you to all the hosts and organizers who put these events together, and to everyone who came out, stopped by, and made these events so much fun. We appreciate the opportunity to be involved in the communities we serve and to connect with so many wonderful local families! 🎃

We hope everyone has a safe, fun, and happy Halloween! 🍁

And don't worry... we're already making plans for next year. 😉 Let's just say we've got a few ideas in the works! 👀🎃

🎃🍬 We’ll be at the Parma Heights Frights tomorrow from 1–4 PM! 👻

Stop by our Lakeview Landscapes mini truck to grab a mini pumpkin when you invite all your friends to our page! 🎃

We’ll also be dressed up as SpongeBob characters, handing out candy! 🍍🧽🦀

Bring the family, say hi, and come see us! We can’t wait to see everyone! 🎃🍬

Another wonderful testimonial from Kristin!

For this project, we transformed an overgrown garden bed into a beautiful, functional landscape designed to support local wildlife while reducing long-term maintenance.

Our crew started by thoroughly weeding, clearing out overgrown vegetation, and preparing the garden beds before installing a diverse selection of native perennials and shrubs. We finished everything off with a fresh layer of mulch to help retain moisture, suppress weeds, and give the landscape a clean, finished appearance.

As these native plants become established over the coming seasons, they'll provide valuable food and habitat for local birds, bees, butterflies, and other beneficial wildlife, while creating a more resilient, lower-maintenance landscape.

A huge thank you to Kristin for trusting Lakeview Landscapes with her property and allowing us to bring her landscape to life! We're excited to see how this garden continues to grow and evolve in the years ahead.

What an incredible weekend!

Last weekend, we had the opportunity to travel to Minneapolis for the Blue Collar Business Accelerator Event, surrounded by over 250 like-minded business owners who share the same drive and passion for what they do.

We're constantly looking for ways to improve, grow, and provide a better experience for our customers. Being in a room full of people who are willing to share their knowledge, experiences, and challenges is an opportunity we don't take for granted.

Lakeview Landscapes isn't just a side business or something we do in our free time. It's our career, our livelihood, and something we're committed to building for the long term. We take that responsibility seriously, especially when it comes to the customers who trust us with their properties.

One of the biggest things we've learned is the importance of surrounding ourselves with people who challenge us to grow and continuously raise the standard of what we do. The knowledge, connections, and support we've gained through this community have been invaluable, giving us new perspectives and ideas that we can bring back to our own business.

A huge thank you to the Blue Collar Business Accelerator team, Logan Sendle and everyone involved in making opportunities like this possible. The guidance and support we've received have played a tremendous role in helping us grow as business owners and provide the level of service we strive for every day.

We're incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be part of this community and look forward to continuing to learn, grow, and put that knowledge to work for our customers.

Here's to many more opportunities like this and to everyone who has supported us along the way!

Your fall cleanup could be affecting next summer’s fireflies!

When we think about fireflies, we usually picture them lighting up our yards on warm summer nights. But have you ever wondered where they go when the temperatures drop?

Many fireflies spend the winter as larvae, sheltered in the soil, beneath fallen leaves, and among decaying wood.

That layer of fallen leaves does much more than we often realize. It helps regulate soil temperatures, retain moisture, and support the small organisms that firefly larvae feed on.

When we remove every leaf from our properties, we can unintentionally remove the very habitat these insects depend on.

Does this mean you need to leave your entire yard covered in leaves? Absolutely not!

Something as simple as keeping leaves in native garden beds, beneath shrubs, or in designated natural areas can make a meaningful difference while still allowing you to maintain a beautiful property.

At Lakeview Landscapes, we believe landscaping should do more than look beautiful. It should also support the wildlife that makes our outdoor spaces so special.

Sometimes protecting next summer's wildlife starts with what we choose to leave behind this fall.

🍕 A small thank you to the people who help make our native gardens possible!

We dropped off three pizzas from Citizen Pie for the hardworking team at Meadow City Native Plant Nursery. They put so much care into growing native plants, and we’re grateful for everything they do.

Our mission of reconnecting fragmented habitat through native landscaping starts with growers like them. Every garden we plant is possible because someone first grew those plants. 🌱

Thank you for helping us bring more nature home!

🌱 A few seeds collected now can help bring more native gardens to life.

Ethan, Colin, and Jaden joined West Creek Conservancy for a volunteer seed collection, gathering native seeds for the seed library at the local Metroparks.

We were happy to lend a hand and help make native plants more accessible to our community. Thank you to everyone who helped make it happen!

Have you ever visited the seed library at your local Metroparks? 🌿

🐾 A little love for the pets waiting for a home.

We stopped by Northeast Ohio SPCA No-Kill Pet Shelter to donate 32 pounds of Friskies dry cat food, litter, 60 cans of Friskies pâté, and lickable treats!

Thank you to the people who put so much time and care into helping these animals. We’re happy we could support your work and give a little back to our community. ❤️

Who’s the rescue pet that made your house a home? We’d love to see a picture in the comments.
