We opened a new framing design studio in Red Wing!
Many of our followers know that we have four locations, with our framing production based in Red Wing, MN. Over time, the projects have gotten bigger, the shop has gotten busier, and we’ve found ourselves bumping into each other when the whole crew is working.
It also wasn’t always the ideal place to sit down and design a project with a customer, especially when an air compressor kicked on in the back room.
So, we needed more production space. Rather than move the shop, we decided to move the customer side of the business.
We’ve opened a new dedicated design studio at 327 West 3rd Street in Downtown Red Wing, just a few blocks from our production shop. It gives us a quieter, more comfortable place to meet with customers, design framing projects, and handle drop-offs and pickups, while giving our production crew some much-needed breathing room.
And we have some ideas for what else we might do with the space.
Bookbinding workshop? Art appraisals? Small exhibits? Artist events?
So many ideas.
For now, we’re just excited to have the doors open and to see where it goes.
