International Roadcheck Starts Today 🚨🚛

From May 12–14, commercial vehicle inspectors across North America will be conducting high-volume roadside inspections as part of CVSA’s annual International Roadcheck.

This year’s focus areas include:

💻 ELD compliance and tampering
📦 Cargo securement

Other safety-critical items like brakes, tires, lighting, driver credentials and Hours of Service may also be reviewed.

Last week in Phoenix. 🌵

Ryan Mize was on site for the TIA Capital Ideas Conference, connecting with others across the industry and staying close to the conversations shaping cargo security today.

A big focus throughout the week was the ongoing challenge of cargo theft and how stronger communication between brokers, carriers, and law enforcement continues to play a role in response and recovery.

Some of the most valuable insights came from the conversations happening outside of formal sessions, reinforcing just how important collaboration is across every part of the supply chain.

We’re looking forward to bringing those takeaways back to continue strengthening how we support our partners.

We do not just talk about cargo security. We stay close to the conversations shaping how freight is protected.

Ryan Mize will be representing Sethmar at the Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) Capital Ideas Conference in Phoenix from April 15 to 18. While he is there, Ryan will be partnering with Phoenix Police Department to provide insight into the current cargo theft landscape, while also learning how reporting to law enforcement can help recover stolen cargo and disrupt organized theft rings.

This hands-on collaboration helps us strengthen our risk management strategies and better support every partner we serve. Stay tuned for updates from Phoenix.
