Big things are ahead for entrepreneurship in Owensboro! 🎉
Last week, the Kentucky SBDC in Owensboro was excited to join our community partners at the Greater Owensboro Economic Development Corp. (GOEDC) as they celebrated a major milestone: The Landing Entrepreneurship Center is officially fully funded!
With funding secured, this exciting project represents so much more than a new space in downtown Owensboro. It's an investment in strengthening our region's entrepreneurial ecosystem and, in turn, the economic vitality of our entire community.
As GOEDC President Claude Bacon shared during the announcement: "Entrepreneurial ecosystems are built over time: one founder, one mentor, one first hire, one success story, or one new resident."
We couldn't agree more! When entrepreneurs have access to the right resources, relationships, and opportunities, the impact extends far beyond any one business. New ideas become new businesses, businesses create jobs, and those successes help build a stronger, more vibrant regional economy.
The Landing will help foster those connections, bringing together entrepreneurs, small business owners, innovators, and the organizations committed to helping them succeed.
Congratulations to GOEDC and everyone who has worked to bring this vision to life! We're proud to be part of a community that recognizes the power of entrepreneurship and is investing in its future.
We can't wait to see the ideas, businesses, and opportunities that grow from here!
