Congratulations and thank you to all involved! This is great news for our community.

Another major milestone for Paducah’s Riverport West project: a $40 million Port Infrastructure Development Program (PIDP) grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Maritime Administration (MARAD)!

Riverport West will expand our public port’s transportation capacity, improve access to the inland waterway system, and strengthen rail service to support the movement of manufactured goods and agricultural products throughout the region, including the Ohio River Triple Rail Megasite and the Department of Energy’s Paducah Site.

With the $24 million BUILD grant announced this summer, Riverport West has now secured $64 million in federal funding. Together with matching state funds, that puts full construction within reach. BFW/Marcum is proud to have led the project’s planning, design, and permitting, along with the federal and state grant applications that helped make this funding possible.

We’re grateful to Congressman James Comer and his staff for their advocacy with DOT and MARAD. Jim Garrett, Executive Director of the Paducah-McCracken County Riverport Authority, noted, “His advocacy, along with that of Senators McConnell and Paul, has been instrumental in helping us secure the PIDP grant funds necessary to complete construction of Riverport West.” Garrett added that this award is the next step in “positioning Riverport West as a catalyst for economic growth across Western Kentucky.”

Paducah-McCracken County Riverport Authority, Greater Paducah Economic Development, and the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce have been steadfast advocates for Riverport West, and we thank them for championing this project!

Thank you to everyone who came out to today's Leadership Paducah "Best Class Ever" Annual Celebration featuring guest Mark Whitlow, 2025 Leadership Paducah Outstanding Alumnus and Member of LP Class #2.

The program featured a conversation with Mark Whitlow interviewed by Steve Christmas, LPAA Past President.

We also took a trip through the decades with some fun music trivia to celebrate the many years and classes that have made Leadership Paducah so special!

Register today for the PYP Ghost Tour on Tuesday, October 27th hosted by Market House Theatre 👻

It's going to be spooktacular!

We will kick off the evening with light refreshments at Studio 200 from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Tours will start at 6:30 and the ghostly trail through downtown Paducah covers an eerie 3/4-mile stretch within a haunting five-block radius, leading us to the riverfront.

The tour will start at 120 Market House Square and will last approximately 45 minutes to one hour. This tour is open to all PYP members and a guest. Tickets are $30. Hope to see you there!

We were so busy with our West KY LAUNCH Experience (8th grade career fair) that we almost missed Support Your Local Chamber Day!
