Coaches, conversation, learning, and community.

Last week, we welcomed coaches from across the AJO network for our Coach Forum and Summer Lunch, our first gathering in our new office space.

Thank you to Shana Lory for leading a thoughtful development session, and thank you to our coaches for all you do to support leaders and organizations every day.

We’re grateful to learn and grow alongside this incredible community.

Today, we pause to honor and remember the men and women who lost their lives in service to our country.

We’re grateful for their sacrifice, and mindful of the families and communities who carry that loss with them every day.

Wishing everyone a meaningful Memorial Day.

Last week, Andy participated in the Police Unity Tour, a ride with a purpose.

The mission of the Police Unity Tour is to raise awareness for law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty and ensure their sacrifice is never forgotten.

What began in 1997 with 18 riders traveling from New Jersey to Washington, D.C. has grown into a nationwide movement of more than 2,000 riders.

For Andy, this annual ride is deeply personal.

His background in law enforcement shaped a lifelong commitment to service, community, and showing up for people. These values continue to influence how he leads.

We’re proud to support Andy’s participation in this year’s ride and to honor and remember those who lost their lives in the line of duty.

Samantha Mulcahy’s work with leaders is grounded in transformation, both what they do and how they show up.

She was drawn to coaching after seeing how often capable people struggled with change, not because of a lack of skill, but because of fear and uncertainty about what it meant for them.

She recognized the need for language and frameworks to help people navigate those moments with clarity and confidence.

Her path to coaching was a natural extension of her leadership career.

Early on, she invested in her own development, advancing quickly into senior leadership roles. Over time, her focus shifted from driving outcomes to enabling others to grow, lead, and succeed, especially during periods of change.

Through her experience leading large-scale transformation, she developed a perspective on how organizations adapt while keeping people at the center.

As AI and other forces reshape how work gets done, Samantha partners with leaders to navigate change in real time, stay grounded in who they are, and move forward with clarity and intention.

At the core, her work is about helping leaders evolve in ways that are both practical and lasting.

“Clarity creates momentum.”

This simple concept sits at the center of how Dom DeAngelis works with leaders.

As an executive coach, he focuses on helping leaders step back from the noise, make sense of complex situations, and move forward with intention.

His work is grounded in real time: focused on the decisions, conversations, and dynamics leaders are actively navigating.

Early in his career, Dom found himself naturally helping others think through next steps, from career decisions to how they positioned themselves for new opportunities.

At the same time, in his leadership roles, he was guiding teams through growth and change, becoming increasingly focused on what actually helps people perform at a higher level.

Over time, those two threads came together.

He realized the work he found most meaningful was sitting alongside leaders as they navigated real challenges and helping them gain clarity, build confidence, and take action in moments that matter.

For Dom, coaching is about creating the space for leaders to think more clearly and supporting them in translating that clarity into meaningful progress.

Shana Lory’s approach to coaching was shaped early by experiencing ineffective leadership in the film industry. She saw firsthand what not to do.

As she moved into corporate roles and eventually led large teams, she unlearned those patterns and became more intentional about how she showed up as a leader.

Through that process, she developed a thoughtful, human-centered approach grounded in both accountability and trust.
That journey continues to shape her work today.

Over the past 10 years as a coach, she has focused on establishing trust early, allowing her to understand a leader’s strengths, patterns, and growth areas.

She works with clients to build on those strengths and shift the patterns that are limiting their effectiveness.

As she puts it: “If your coach isn’t seeing you more clearly than you can see yourself, find another coach.”

Michael Tiger brings more than 20 years of leadership experience, including Fortune 100 executive roles, along with nearly a decade of executive and team coaching.

His path to coaching was shaped by his own experience navigating key transitions as a leader.

Early on, a coach challenged him to think beyond what he could do and focus on what he actually wanted to do, shifting the direction of his career.

As he stepped into more senior roles, coaching became a consistent part of how he worked through complexity, built confidence, and led more effectively.

As he puts it: “Most people are only scratching the surface of what they are capable of, and they don’t always see it themselves.”

Today, he focuses on helping clients build self-awareness, adaptability, and resilience, while staying closely connected to performance.

The work is not theoretical, it’s tied to real decisions, real team dynamics, and moments that matter.

International Coaching Week is a time to recognize the role coaching plays in how leaders and teams grow.

At AJO, we’re proud of the network of certified executive coaches we’ve built over time.

We have the opportunity to work alongside more than 100 coaches who each bring deep experience, perspective, and a human approach to helping others grow and perform.

Throughout the week, we’ll be highlighting a few of the people behind that work, and recognizing the broader community we’re grateful to partner with.

The way our clients work has shifted over the past few years, and we’re evolving alongside them.

This month, AJO is moving to a more flexible workspace to reflect how work is happening today.

Our approach remains the same: strong relationships, consistent partnerships, and work that builds over time.

We’ll continue to meet with clients and coaches in person at our new location, right down the road from where our headquarters have been for the last 17 years.
