Position Summary:
The Planner (Rotating Equipment) is responsible to develop Mechanical (Rotating Equipment – (pumps, compressors, fans, turbines, Seals, Bearings, Alignment, lubrication requirements, thermal analysis, vibration analysis, fault recognition, preventive maintenance) planned work packages for maintenance repair work and improvement projects base on priorities. The job plans must fully satisfy the notification of scope and include all material, services and resources. This position must ensure that the amount of work planned suffices to satisfy production needs as well as the available work-hour capacity.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
• Develop maintenance job plans from a Rotating Equipment standpoint to improve the safety and productivity of work force in addition to optimizing the utilization of company resources.
• Follow all plant operating and safety policies and procedures to make on-the-job decisions to permit safe and efficient operations of the area and the overall plant, per specified and delegated authority.
• Provide necessary planning information that insures safe and efficient ex*****on of non-emergency jobs
• Verify knowledge of work scope through field walk-throughs.
• Update/Change work orders by:
▪ Ensuring that the work order type and maintenance activity types are accurately assigned on the work order.
▪ Using or creating BOM’s where appropriate.
• Building or copying standard job request (job templates) that clearly shows:
▪ The special instructions and required documentation such as OEM data, QC needs, schematics, etc.
▪ Optimal scheduling logic between operations.
▪ An operation for capital spare repair (sending equipment out for 3rd party repair).
• Create PO’s and requisitions of necessary materials through the use of SAP.
• Requisitioning for 3rd party services.
• Writing necessary change orders for 3rd party services upon job completion.
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have a minimum of ten years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, Industrial (Refinery, Petrochemical) plant, NCCER Plus Certification as a Millwright (preferred) and five years’ experience in a supervisory or leadership type role is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Must have basic computer skills and knowledge including Word and Excel with 2 years’ experience in SAP PM Module and P6 training.
• Proactive problem-solving approach focused on action.
• Ability to organize and prioritize.
• Knowledge of proper equipment repair and proper operation.
