We are a Boutique winery on Seneca Lake, New York, that specializes in Sparkling Wines done in the same style as Champagne, and a more ancient style called Petillant Naturel. We are also specialists in dry, cool climate reds such as Pinot Noir, Dornfelder & Teroldego. Of course we produce beautiful Finger Lakes favorites such as Riesling & Blaufrankish. Red Tail Ridge utilizes sustainable practic

es in their wine growing process; and is the first LEED gold certified winery in New York State. All heating and cooling for wine production is provided by geothermal energy. For security reasons, we are not able to accept stretch limos or vehicles that cannot fit in a regularly sized parking space from unauthorized driving services. Authorized Driving Partners can be found on our website, www.redtailridgewinery.com

Pets are welcome in outdoor spaces always and in a separate Tasting Room from the main Tasting Room with prior notice.

Pinot Noir is never just one thing. 🍇

Some vintages lean bright and delicate. Others show more earth, more structure, more depth. Our estate Pinot Noir tends to land in a beautifully savory, brambly place—wild berries, subtle earth, and the kind of complexity that keeps evolving in the glass.

The 2024 vintage came from beautifully ripened clusters harvested by hand over two warm September days, after a growing season that gave the fruit ample time to fully develop in the vineyard. Fermented with indigenous yeast in open-air vessels with twice-daily punch downs, then aged for 11 months in neutral oak, this wine is expressive, layered, and distinctly Finger Lakes.

Unfiltered and unfined, the finished wine keeps all of that texture and character intact, from vineyard to bottle.

Enjoy it now with cheese, pâté, or richer meat, or tuck a few bottles away and see where time takes it. 🍷 Available in our tasting room or through the link in our bio.

The Red Tail Ridge Pavilion officially opens June 1! We are very ready for long afternoons, cold glasses of wine, and that first “should we stay for one more?” of the season. ☀️🍷

Tucked just outside the tasting room, the Pavilion is where summer at Red Tail Ridge really settles in: open air, warm wood, string lights overhead, vineyard views in every direction, and plenty of space to gather, linger, snack, sip, and lose track of time a little.

Shade when you need it. Shelter if the weather turns. Golden hour almost always included.

Starting June 1, come claim your table. 🥂

What if your holiday bubbles started in the cellar with your own two hands? 🥂

Attention RTR Wine Club Members—our Make Your Own Magnum experience is back, and Part I is happening soon. Join Nancy, Mike, and Meagz for one of the most hands-on (and honestly, most fun) exclusive Wine Club experiences we offer all year.

You’ll head into the cellar, fill your own magnum with yeast culture, cap it yourself, and set the second fermentation in motion. Then we’ll tuck your bottle away to ferment and age quietly over the next several months while our team riddles it by hand behind the scenes.

Once the cellar work is done, we’ll enjoy a sparkling tasting along with some nibbles prepared by Chef Matt—because, naturally, all good cellar adventures should end with bubbles and snacks. ✨

In November, you’ll return to disgorge, dosage, cork, and wire cage your bottle yourself. When all is said and done, you’ll walk out with a finished magnum of traditional method sparkling wine made entirely by you, just in time for the holidays.

It’s equal parts science experiment, cellar experience, dinner party flex, and sparkling wine magic. 🍾

Part I: June 7, 2026
Part II: November 21, 2026

Tickets are limited and this event does sell out—grab yours now here: https://redtailridgewinery.com/collection/ticketed-experiences/

✨ Your sparkling wine era starts here. 🍾

Wine Club members, this is your chance to step beyond the tasting room and into the cellar for one of our most hands-on experiences of the year: Make Your Own Sparkling Magnum.

Over two immersive sessions, you’ll work alongside Nancy, Mike, and Meagz as we guide you through the process used to create our sparkling wines—from tirage all the way to disgorging. Along the way, you’ll get an inside look at the precision, patience, and occasional controlled chaos behind every bottle of bubbles. ✨

📅 Part I: June 7, 2026
Begin the process with tirage, where your magnum starts its secondary fermentation in the bottle.

📅 Part II: November 21, 2026
Return to disgorge, customize your label, and take home your finished sparkling magnum of Perpétuelle Change.

This is a two-part program, and attendance at both sessions is required.

If you’ve ever wanted to know what really goes into traditional sparkling winemaking (and also end up with your own custom magnum!), this is the event for you. 🥂Register here: https://redtailridgewinery.com/collection/ticketed-experiences/

Our Dry Rosé begins in the vineyard with two varieties that each bring something different to the glass: Zweigelt and Cabernet Franc.

Zweigelt contributes bright red fruit and an easygoing freshness. Cabernet Franc adds structure and subtle herbal notes. Interestingly, they also sit at opposite ends of harvest season for us—Zweigelt arriving early, Cabernet Franc coming in late—bookending the vintage and helping shape the singular style of this wine year after year.

Together, they create a rosé that is crisp, dry, and far more layered than its pale pink color might suggest.

And if you’re stocking up for summer, now’s a very good time: full solid cases of our 2024 Dry Rosé are currently $150 per case, bringing the price from $20.97 per bottle down to just $12.50 per bottle. ☀️🥂

Try it in the tasting room or order online here: https://redtailridgewinery.com/shop/

Some wines arrive. Others take their final bow. ✨🥂

The 2020 Blanc de Noirs has just been released—a traditional method sparkling wine with delicate salmon color, fine persistent bubbles, and layers of honeysuckle, orange peel, toasted brioche, white raspberry, and preserved lemon. It’s youthful and fresh, yet already beautifully complex, with a long, briny finish that keeps drawing you back for another sip.

At the same time, we’re down to the final cases of two standout 2024 wines.

The 2024 Chardonnay is bright and expressive, with notes of pear, honeysuckle, Golden Delicious apple, and nutmeg-poached pears, finishing crisp and beautifully balanced.

The 2024 Noble Pursuit—our Gold Cap Auslese-style Riesling—offers white peach, spring flowers, and delicate floral honey, with remarkable sweetness, concentration, and freshness.

Three wines. Three very different expressions of what thoughtful farming and careful winemaking can create.

✨ 2024 Noble Pursuit is nearly gone

Visit us in the tasting room or secure your bottles through our website (https://redtailridgewinery.com) before these last-of-vintage wines disappear. 🍾🍷

Rosé tasting notes, according to Nancy and Meagz: cranberry, fresh strawberry, a little melon, a hint of herbs, and enough minerality to keep things interesting. 🍓🌿🍈 In other words, this is not a one-note summer sipper.

Our 2025 Dry Rosé has bright fruit up front, a subtle herbaceous edge, and that crisp, zippy finish that makes you want another sip before you’ve fully put down your glass. As Meagz puts it, it’s a “complete wine”: balanced, layered, and just a little bit cheeky.

Stop by the tasting room to give it a whirl! 🌸🍷

One of the best parts of the Wine Atlas Collective is discovering just how many different forms a sense of place can take.

William Chris Vineyards, our partner in Texas Hill Country, is helping redefine what American wine can be. Like us here at Red Tail Ridge, they are deeply committed to expressing their region as honestly as possible—working with the varieties, soils, and climate that make their corner of the country distinct.

Named among the World’s Best Vineyards for three years running, William Chris pairs serious winemaking with the kind of warm hospitality Texans are known for.

The landscapes may be very different, but the philosophy feels familiar: thoughtful farming, wines with a clear sense of origin, and a belief that where something is grown matters.

A little mystery tastes better in a wine glass. 🍷

Here Kristin gives a preview of one of Red Tail Ridge’s most playful events of the season: Unusual Pairings on May 23.

Four unexpected dishes. Four carefully chosen wines. And just enough secrecy to keep things interesting.

Think:
• Ramp Butter Mushroom Tartine
• Tempura Scallion “Nori”
• Smoked Chicken Terrine with Rhubarb Mostarda & Bali Long Pepper
• Makrut Lime Ice Cream with Chile Crunch

The menu is set, but the pairings are still under wraps.

Will it be something crisp and electric? A red where you’d never expect one? A wine that completely changes the way the dish tastes?
