Trust in childcare isn't built overnight.
It's built through years of doing things the right way, even when no one is watching.

At The Nanny Joynt, we've spent more than 15 years getting to know our candidates personally and taking the time to look beyond a résumé.
From in-person interviews and thorough reference checks to background investigations, driving records, and verified CPR and First Aid certifications, every step is intentional.

The experiences of the families and caregivers we've worked with are the best evidence of our impact.

At The Nanny Joynt, we do not hire for positions, we provide you a person who believes in making your life easier and a person that suits your family’s values, lifestyle, and needs. Likewise, we help caregivers to find the perfect home. We build relationships of trust and respect.

We're grateful to families like Courtney and Danielle and caregivers like Angela, who trusted us through every step of the process. Their words remind us why we do what we do every day.

Starting a new nanny position is exciting, but the first week isn't about proving you know everything. A nanny job is both a slow burn and fast-paced. It's about learning the family's routines, understanding their expectations, and, at the same time, getting the task done for the day.

The best caregivers take the time to observe, ask thoughtful questions, and listen before suggesting changes. Every family has its own unsaid law, and taking notes during those first few days can help create a smoother beginning in the new family. The key is to observe and have patience.

One of the biggest hiring mistakes isn't choosing the wrong resume, it's overlooking the importance of personality and connection.
A nanny may have the right experience, but the best placements happen when values, communication styles, and expectations align. The strongest relationships are built on trust, respect, and a genuine connection between the caregiver and the family. Skills can be developed over time, but a natural fit is much harder to create.

At The Nanny Joynt, we take the time to understand both families and caregivers because we know the right match goes far beyond availability or qualifications.

When a caregiver keeps their promises, responds on time, and does what they say, it builds confidence immediately. These tiny efforts demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and the trust that every family deserves.

At The Nanny Joynt, we know that consistency is one of the strongest indicators of a dependable caregiver. That's why we pay close attention to the habits and communication that create lasting relationships.

A Family Assistant and a Housekeeper both play valuable roles, but they aren't the same job. Understanding the difference helps families hire the right person with clear expectations from the start.

A Housekeeper is primarily responsible for keeping the home clean and organized. A Family Assistant, on the other hand, helps keep the household running smoothly by managing schedules, coordinating appointments, running errands, organizing projects, and handling day-to-day logistics.

Now Hiring: Newborn Care Specialist | Peoria, AZ

Some families want an extra set of hands. This one wants a guide.

We are partnering with two first-time parents in North Peoria who are welcoming a baby girl in late December via gestational surrogate. They have waited a long time for her, they are honest about being new to all of it, and they are looking for an experienced Newborn Care Specialist to steady those first months.

What it looks like:

9:15pm to 7:15am, 7 nights per week for the first 12 weeks, with the option to drop to 5 or 6 nights for the final 4 weeks
16 week contract beginning on or around December 26, 2026
$40 to $45 per hour
Holiday premium for any days worked over Christmas and New Year
Travel to Illinois for roughly the first 10 to 14 days, with all travel and lodging covered by the family
Fully furnished guest room with an ensuite bathroom as your rest space
Two senior miniature schnauzers in the home, no pet responsibilities
Who we are looking for:

A seasoned specialist with substantial newborn hours who is calm because she has done this many times. This family wants someone who will coach them patiently through the basics and then hand the confidence back to them. Mom plans to be involved, so the right person is collaborative rather than directive, and comfortable being part of a team.

Current CPR and First Aid required. TDAP preferred. Please only apply if you are genuinely open to traveling over the holidays, since the due date may move earlier for an induction.

They are open to sharing this role between two NCS's in which case only one NCS would be needed for travel.

Apply today and reference code TNJNCS2037: www.nannyjoynt.com

The best interviews are more like open conversation and not interrogation. They feel like a discussion between both the family and the caregiver, where they learn about each other.
When candidates ask thoughtful questions, listen carefully, and show genuine interest in your family's routines, values, and expectations, they're doing more than preparing for a job. They're planning psychologically how to bring ease in your day-to-day bases.

At The Nanny Joynt, we value meaningful conversations because they help to create placements built on trust, communication, and mutual understanding.

A resume can tell you about one’s work history, but it rarely tells you how they'll respond when a child is having a difficult day, how they communicate with parents, or how they handle unexpected challenges.
That's why every interview matters. We look beyond experience to understand a candidate's character, problem-solving skills, adaptability, and professionalism. Finding the right candidate for a specific role isn't just about checking qualifications, it's about making sure they're the right fit for your family's values and daily life.
