One of the many benefits of AZAGC membership is having a seat at the table when decisions are being made that impact Arizona’s construction industry.

Today, AZAGC members met directly with the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) to discuss the renewal of key air quality permits used by our industry. Members received a firsthand briefing from ADEQ leadership and, more importantly, had the opportunity to provide real-world feedback before new permit language is drafted.

Strong relationships with our state agencies give our members a voice in the process and help ensure regulations are practical, effective, and informed by the contractors who work under them every day.

That’s advocacy in action and another way AZAGC works to strengthen Arizona’s construction industry.

AZAGC Apprenticeship Trust Fund Heavy Equipment Operator Cohort 15.

Before apprentices begin Empire CAT machine training, they attend classes at the AZAGC every other Saturday for 6 months. Courses include: Plan Reading, Grade Checking, Construction Math, Safety, and Construction Demo.

Today, Apprentices are reviewing plans to prepare to construct a 3-D day model of a project.
