Mobility challenges shouldn’t mean missing out on Pittsburgh’s trails. 🌿 The Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy’s Trackchair Program is helping people with limited mobility explore Frick Park using an all-terrain motorized wheelchair designed to handle the outdoors.

Reservations are currently available through November, giving more Pittsburghers the chance to experience the trails and spend time in nature.

👉 Give Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy a follow to learn more about the Trackchair Program and the work they’re doing to make Pittsburgh’s parks more accessible.

Fun fact: Pittsburgh has more bridges than Venice, Italy. 🌉

With 446 bridges connecting neighborhoods across three rivers and plenty of hills, it’s easy to see why Pittsburgh earned the nickname City of Bridges. They’re not just practical, they’re part of the skyline, the history and the way the city moves.

📲 Share this with someone who loves a good Pittsburgh fun fact, then tell us: Which Pittsburgh bridge has the best view?

Your dog deserves a Pittsburgh bucket list too. 🐾 From river views and wooded trails to splash spots and plenty of room to run, these off-leash areas give pups plenty of ways to get outside around the city.

🐕 Highland Park Dog Park – Separate fenced areas for large and small dogs, plus water and cleanup supplies.
🐕 Frick Park – Two fenced play areas near Blue Slide Playground, plus water and a dog swimming hole nearby.
🐕 Downtown Dog Park (OLEA) – A smaller fenced spot with Allegheny River and bridge views. Bring water.
🐕 Olympia Park – Fenced off-leash space with both hilly and flat terrain.
🐕 Allegheny Commons Park – A large off-leash area with a pond, but it’s not completely fenced.
🐕 Bernard Dog Run – A half-acre spot under the 40th Street Bridge with separate areas for large and small dogs.

Before you go, know Pittsburgh parks’ puppy protocol: Dogs must be 4+ months old, vaccinated, licensed and not in season. There’s a maximum of three dogs per owner, dogs must stay leashed unless they’re in a designated fenced-in area, and handlers must be 16 or older.

📌 Save this for your pup’s next outing, and tell us which Pittsburgh dog park your four-legged local would add to the list!
