I want to wish the cast and crew of Bishop Canevin’s musical “Good Luck” this weekend! Tonight is opening night of Into the Woods but I had the pleasure of being invited earlier this week to come and capture their performance for them.
While I don’t feel these are up to the standards of my normal work, the kids are graciously happy with them.
While I love my mirrorless, I need some more practice with switching the shutter to try and fix the flicker even more.

Will, Bishop Canevin Class of 2026

This week’s Senior Sunday post is late in the day, but I made it!

Will is a Senior at Bishop Canevin who is planning on a career in Engineering after High School. Will is in Marching Band and plays Hockey with Fionn and we have been blessed to count his family as an extension of ours these last few years.

Will and his Mom met us downtown for a foggy sunrise session a few weeks ago and I love the images we captured before the city was up and moving for the day! It was a great morning for an adventure.
Truly, Sunrise sessions are quickly moving up the ranks in terms of my favorites to shoot!

Congratulations Will and I look forward to sharing the rest of this year with you and your family!

Senior Spotlight (I have one everyday this week)

Fionn, Bishop Canevin Class of 2026.

Today’s Senior Spotlight is also a reminder that your Senior Session doesn’t HAVE to be downtown or at a big park. It can be the places you have spent time growing up. While we have done a couple sessions, I have yet to share any on Fionn’s as I have been plugging away at everyone else’s photos.
I stole a quick half an hour of time for myself last night after we took a walk around our block to take those photos. We’ve taken photos on this trail his whole life and the Winter ones are some of my favorites so when snow was in the forecast, I jumped at the chance to grab a few now.
If you love Winter, let’s talk. Fresh snow fall always looks amazing for sessions. It’s a little more spur of the moment but if we have everything ready to go, we can make it happen.

Senior Spotlight

While Cali had a big Summer Senior Session, she also wanted some Fall images. Soccer Season kept us busy but we snuck out to Youthtowne when it wrapped to commemorate that chapter of her life.

I have been buried in Senior Edits and am finally starting to come up for air so that means a post!

Rowan, Bishop Canevin Class of 2026.
While Rowan’s had her galleries for some time I have not had the chance to share them yet! Rowan and I spent a beautiful Fall evening down at Mingo Park in early October for her Senior Session.
I have had the pleasure of getting to know Rowan and her family these last few years at Bishop Canevin and was delighted when they inquired about Senior Photos. It is always an honor to be trusted with these memories. Congratulations Rowan, I can’t wait to celebrate the rest of your senior year with you!

Grant, Carlynton Class of 2026.

Today’s Senior Spotlight is known as “Little G” in this house…only he’s not so little anymore. I have had the privilege and pleasure of knowing Grant since elementary school. I even got to coach him a million years ago in Baseball which is where the nickname came from.
Grant has grown up to be a Football Captain who also excels in the classroom as well. Last week I got to take his Homecoming Court photos and it was bittersweet for me to celebrate all these kids I have known for years.
Little G, I wish you nothing but success and can’t wait to see where you head off to for college. Enjoy the rest of your senior year!!

Vincenzo, West Allegheny Class of 2026

This week’s feature is a talented drummer from West Allegheny. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Vincenzo’s sister for years due to soccer but enjoyed getting to know him a little better as we dodged the Labor Day crowds a couple weeks ago.

While the fountain may be off, the Point is always a great backdrop for showcasing our bridges in your senior session!
