What Crystal Basin Cellars provides is a wine tasting experience that is one part fun, one part information, and a price-to-value that is second to none. We welcome you to “The Crystal Basin Experience!” Our red wines are crafted from 15 different red grapes grown within 30 miles of our winery, in the El Dorado appellation and processed from grape to bottle in our historic facility. El Dorado grapes were originally planted by the gold miners in the 1850s and 1860s. We follow their legacy today by crafting the best wines in our own favorite style, and by showcasing the amazing flavors created by our soil, climate, and precipitation. Our 100-year-old building was the second winery to be licensed in El Dorado County after the end of Prohibition. We have exceptional neighboring wineries on Carson Road and throughout the county - come enjoy our highly-rated wines and our hospitality.
