Kaiser. DoubleTree. Topcon. SAP. Stanford Research Institute. Roundhouse at Bishop Ranch. Some of these relationships go back fifteen years.
For a planner building a vendor roster, long client retention is one of the few signals on a company's website that wasn't written for the website. It's earned one event at a time.
Here's what actually compounds. The first event or two with a new client, we're in learning mode — absorbing the program, the people, the building, the quirks. By the third event or so, we've earned the right to bring ideas: what worked, what we'd try differently, what to keep. The planner still runs the show. We get to help shape it.
And the model doesn't change with the size of the room. The same partnership that holds in a hotel ballroom holds at Levi's Stadium — the questions we start with are identical, even when the load-in windows and the union shops are not.
That's the version of a vendor relationship worth building. It's what we work toward with every planner we partner with.
