Stop hiring a "school secretary" and start hiring a leadership partner.

The person in your front office can do so much more than answer phones and push paper. The right hire becomes your VP of Administration: protecting your time, creating order, catching problems before they become crises, and keeping the details from falling through the cracks.

How did one principal retain 92% of her staff in a single school year? By getting out of her own way.

Rochelle Lofstrand, Head of School at The GLOBE Academy in Atlanta, GA, spent her first year rebuilding trust, but barely made it into classrooms. Her staff noticed. Only 13 of 35 teachers completed their satisfaction surveys, and a third felt unsupported.
