An Early Cobb Classic

1907 Wolverine News Postcard Ty Cobb Batting, graded PSA 1. Widely regarded as a rookie-era issue, this key postcard captures a striking image of a young Cobb at the plate.

The grade reflects two small areas of display damage at the top center. Otherwise, the image is sharp, the back is clean and unused, and there are no visible creases or wrinkles. Displays far stronger than the grade.

Offered here is the 1934 Goudey #61 Lou Gehrig, graded PSA 2. A tough semi-high number that collectors know doesn’t surface easily, this example presents beautifully with bold color, a strong image, clean reverse, and solid edges. Centered slightly to the lower right with honest, consistent corner wear, and no creases or wrinkles visible even under magnification. Corner wear is the lone condition note.

Even more compelling, this card comes directly from the original owner, a remarkable 99-year-old gentleman. Fresh to the hobby and ready for its next chapter.

A Scarce ’33 Ruth That Delivers.

The 1933 World Wide Gum #93 Babe Ruth PSA 2.5 is a tough card to find and one that rarely surfaces in respectable condition. This issue is notoriously condition sensitive, and most examples show heavy wear. This one presents far better than typical for the grade.

Rich color and a beautiful image anchor the card, with excellent clarity and contrast on Ruth. Fairly well centered, with no visible creases or wrinkles even under magnification. The back is clean, the borders show well, and the corner wear is mild and consistent. For the grade, this is a standout example.

The 1953 Topps #82 Mickey Mantle SGC 6 is one of the hobby’s true masterpieces — the only vintage Mantle card created from an original painting. The absolute key to the second Topps set, and a card that rarely surfaces without condition challenges.
This example delivers. A crystal-clear image, sharp corners that come to points, strong centering, and bold red borders with minimal wear. Clean edges with just subtle toning at the lower right, and a crisp, well-preserved back. Eye appeal that jumps the second you see it.
