Local BIZness Network

10/22/2026

The Augusta/Gardiner group has decided to do a bottle drive and use the profits to shop off of the angel tree at a local store.

Amber has established a Clynk (with Hannaford) account. The group got 10 boxes - which means 100 bags! Their goal is to get all 100 bags filled by December 1.

They are asking all chapters for support to reach this goal! They are happy to accept monetary contributions as well.

You can either reach out to Anna or DJ to coordinate getting bags with tags. You can also reach out to Amber via text.

If you are not a member of the Local BIZness network, (why not? It's a great way to meet new people!), and you'd like to make a contributions, please visit a chapter near you.

In anticipation of possible snow overnight in Lewiston/Auburn, I wanted to remind everyone that we will have our meetings unless school is canceled in the town where we meet. So tomorrow (1/6) if Lewiston Schools are canceled, our meeting is canceled.

Hopefully the snow doesn't impede us in the weeks to come and we can all have awesome meetings this year!

The Lewiston/Auburn chapter had an amazing time volunteering at the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society this afternoon!! Volunteer Coordinator Sandy was awesome!

Even if you only have 10 minutes to pet cats or walk a dog, every minute is helpful!

🎄 It’s the season of giving! 🎄

Ken and the GAHS team were able to give our thanks to Tom Caron when he stoped by recently with a donation of dog food and treats - but we need to also shout out his group of friends with the Local BIZness Network for supporting our animals all season long!

This thoughtful organization not only encouraged donations to the GAHS, but several of their members chose to help sponsor adoption fees for some of our long term residents, too!

Please join us in also thanking:

Jonathan Morse and Seth York of Companion Insurance

Dan Reed of Dan Reed Marketing

Sean Banks of Maine Community Bank

Kryston Lemay of Lake Auburn Legal and Accounting

Amber Pruitt of Lunar Property Management

We are grateful to count the group as one of our amazing community partners!
