Free Geek had a blast at Portland STEMFest 2026! We brought retro technology and a whole lot of energy to show 500+ kids what happens when old tech gets a second life. From gaming on machines older than their parents to learning about e-cycling and digital equity, these students got hands-on with the work we do every day. This is what it's all about — sparking curiosity and showing the next generation that a career in tech can start with taking things apart. Huge thanks to POIC and OIC of America for putting this together!
