There are certain places that make you stop and reflect.

Last week, Oppenheimer hosted its 2026 Next Gen Peer-to-Peer Forum at the World Trade Center. Looking out over Lower Manhattan, it was hard not to think about everything that place represents. For many of us, the memories of September 11 are still vivid. Standing there that day was a reminder not only of what was lost, but also of the resilience, strength, and determination that followed. It was a fitting place to spend a day talking about the future of our profession.

The Sharpe Group was grateful to have our entire team there, learning alongside colleagues from across the firm. The conversations covered everything from succession planning and leadership to direct indexing, digital marketing, and finding new ways to better serve clients.

While the presentations were excellent, some of the best takeaways came from the conversations between sessions. Exchanging ideas with advisors from across the country, hearing what's working in their practices, and building new relationships are what make events like this so worthwhile.

Thank you to Oppenheimer for bringing everyone together for another outstanding forum. We look forward to putting these ideas into practice and continuing to build on the relationships that were formed throughout the week.
