Summary
We're seeking an experienced security technician to install, repair, and upgrade security systems in residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural environments. The primary systems include: CCTV, Access Control, and Intrusion Alarm.
Duties
Read and understand system schematics, blueprints, and a scope of work.
Install low voltage cabling and devices in compliance with the National Electric Code (NEC).
Perform data terminations at peripheral devices (ie - cameras, access points, controls, etc.) and head-end hardware.
Configure, program, test, and verify that installed devices operate as intended.
Work with support channels directly to resolve issues and achieve intended operation.
Communicate with clients, project managers, and tradespeople to ensure seamless installations.
Provide end user instruction on CCTV, Access Control, and Intrusion Alarm user interfaces.
Examine customer complaints, identify problems, and suggest reasonable solutions.
Maintain a clean work space, clean company vehicle, and vehicle service schedule.
Log detailed and intelligible notes to service tickets and project files.
Qualifications
Must be honest, accountable, punctual, and well communicated (both written and oral).
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Must have a valid Colorado driver's license.
Must be willing to travel regionally as necessary.
Must maintain a professional appearance.
Must maintain a working knowledge of industry trends, standards, and codes.
Must possess an acute attention to detail and unrelenting reserve to produce a quality product.
Must be healthy, and fully capable of performing installation tasks per the scope of work.
Must have a working knowledge of the tools necessary to perform installations per the scope of work. This includes: screwdrivers, wire cutters, hammers, drills, voltmeters, tape measures, etc.
Compensation
Starting at $15 to $25 / hour, based on relevant experience.
Project bonuses based on performance beyond expectations.
Potential to increase base pay by 11% / year, based on performance.
Suggested
6 Months of experience with the following products: HID Readers, HES Strikes, AXIS Controllers, Hikvision Smart and Value Series, Milestone XProtect Series, Interlogix Concord 4 and NX Panels, Alarm.com Integration, etc.
