Once upon a time, a local grocery store was also a place where neighbors knew they could count on each other. ❤️

Steve’s Market wasn’t just a place to pick up groceries. During the Depression, Steve made sure families who were struggling could still put food on the table, allowing them to keep a running tab and simply asking when they might be able to pay a little toward their bill.

He was always thinking about his community and the people who walked through his doors.

Steve’s Market closed in 1982, but the story of Steve Micklisin and the way he cared for his neighbors is still part of our community’s history.

Something new is taking root in Coeymans Hollow this weekend!

The inaugural New York PawPaw Festival is coming to Magic Forest Farm September 26–27 for two days celebrating agriculture, music, art, sustainability, and the unique pawpaw fruit, North America’s largest edible native fruit.

Expect workshops, art installations, outdoor adventures, music, and plenty of opportunities to connect with people passionate about farming, homesteading, permaculture, and sustainable living.

The Gedney Hotel - Frangella Hotel

It's believed the building was constructed in the early 1800s and it was torn down in 1979.

The area by where this was is now used for community events like the Coeymans Riverside Farmers Market.

Spend the day shopping local and supporting vendors, crafters, and young entrepreneurs while grabbing a bite from one of the food trucks.

And if the weather cooperates, there will also be a rock wall and obstacle course for some extra fun!

What a beautiful Labor Day it was in RCS! ☀️

As the day comes to an end, we hope you had the chance to enjoy the sunshine, spend time with family and friends and soak up one of the last summer holiday weekends.

Now, as we head into the first week of school with RCS students returning on Wednesday, we’re looking ahead to the start of a new school year and all that this season has to bring.

A new chapter for Elevate Dance Project in Ravena! 💕

Tonight, Elevate Dance Project celebrated its grand opening and registration night at its new, larger space in Faith Plaza! 🎉

Now entering their 4th dance season, this locally owned and operated dance studio has continued to grow and this new space marks an exciting next step. With three dance studios for classes, Elevate Dance Project now has even more room to welcome dancers, grow their programs, and bring their love of movement to the community.

Their mission is simple: create a space where every student is welcome to express themselves through movement and dance.
