In 1997 we built and installed the University Heights city sign. The sign has been an icon of the neighborhood for almost 30 years now. University Heights Community Association (UHCA) shared some amazing photos from the installation in March of 1997. This year we had the opportunity to replace all the neon for the letters and some of the border units as well. As part of the repair we had to replace some of the transformers, all of which are original from the 90s. The sign is still running on some of the original transformers which is incredible.

A single property can have a lot more than one type of sign lighting.

At Great Basin Brewing Co. in Reno, our sign & lighting team got to work on several lighting issues across three sides of the building. We handled everything from a dim floodlight and dark goosenecks to repairing outages in their neon signs.

Altogether, we reinstalled three neon units and replaced seven lamps across the property's gooseneck and flood lighting.

Neon, floodlights, goosenecks—they may work differently, but together they help create a full nighttime glow to attract customers to your business.

One sign. Two sides. And sometimes only one of them goes dark.

YESCO Reno was called to Dolan Lexus on South Virginia Street to diagnose an outage affecting the building-facing side of its pylon sign.

Partial outages are a good reminder that illuminated signs are complete electrical systems, and sometimes the first step is finding exactly where the problem begins.

One property, two signs, two different solutions.

we recently updated signage for Dolan Dodge on Kietzke Lane.

On the south elevation, our team used the existing “DODGE” channel letter faces as patterns to manufacture and install a brand-new set of trim-capped faces.

On the west elevation, the update happened inside the sign: the existing LED modules were removed and replaced with new ones.

It’s a good example of how existing signage doesn’t always need to be completely replaced. Sometimes a strategic reface or LED retrofit is all it takes to give a sign new life.

We built the iconic Coachman’s sign in Salt Lake City in the 1970s. In 2021, the restaurant closed, and the future of the sign became uncertain. We were honored when Liberty Wells Community Council came to us with a plan to save the sign. With the help of the community, enough money was raised to remove and store the sign until a new home can be found. The community is actively looking for a new home to put the sign in Salt Lake if anyone has any ideas..

We truly believe and hope neon will always have a place in the sign world and we will always advocate for preserving historic signs while exploring ever changing sign technology. Ever notice how much a theater's sign adds to the experience?

Long before the previews begin, bright signage creates excitement and helps guests easily find their destination after dark.

Our Reno team recently restored illumination to the Galaxy Theatre storefront sign, helping ensure the theater continues making a great first impression every night.

Fun fact: Channel letters are individually illuminated, so a single outage often requires technicians to troubleshoot each letter separately.

Sometimes the biggest transformation doesn't involve a brand-new sign.

Refreshing an existing monument sign with professional repainting can dramatically improve curb appeal while extending the life of the structure.

Our Reno team recently restored the monument sign at Comstock Casino in Carson City, giving it a clean, refreshed appearance that welcomes guests before they even step inside.

You might have seen us every night for the last year on the corner of Flamingo and the Blvd. This is what we were up to. We designed and built one of the tallest freestanding signs in the world. Huge shout out to and for being incredible partners on this project.
