Culture Talks is an ongoing series of lectures by community members on a wide range of topics. For this talk, former Oneida County Supervisor Steven Schreier will explore local government and how it works, including how different levels of government function differently in geographic scope, legal authority, and specific public services provided.

Enjoy a free evening of music from the Great American Songbook performed live by pianist Dave Gibbs! Come anytime between 7-9PM on September 18th to enjoy a live piano performance featuring songs and jazz standards from the 1920s-1950s. This event is free and open to the public. Announcing our new CULTURE TALKS topic for this fall: politics!

If you're not familiar, CULTURE TALKS are our monthly presentations by community members on a wide range of topics such as culture, history, art, philosophy, religion and more.

With this series, presenters will be giving a non-partisan look at our political systems, the history of how things developed, and some ways we can get involved locally.

The goal is to learn more about how these systems work and to have thoughtful discussion on how we as citizens can be most meaningfully and practically engaged in ways that benefit our local community.

Each session will be followed by a Q&A. All events are free and open to the public and will be held at The Hilgermann Center (25 S. Brown St. in downtown Rhinelander).

Instead of our usual lecture format, this gathering will be an extended Q&A session where the topics of the conversation are driven by attendees, especially if anyone has questions or comments regarding our most recent lecture series exploring the natural world.

Join three actors from the Nicolet Players for Love is a Blue Tick Hound, a hilarious evening of sketches performed live right here in our community room at the Hilgermann Center (25 S. Brown St. in downtown Rhinelander)!

Directed by Vicki Fleming and featuring actors Derek Westphal, Amber Larsen and JoDee Sherwood, this is a rare opportunity to experience live theater in a unique and intimate setting.

Tickets are $15/person. Refreshments will be available for purchase. Doors open 30 minutes before show time. Seating is limited, so get your tickets before they sell out!
