Our Economic and Workforce Development Department just received the 2026 Innovation Award at the Governor's Hurricane Conference.

The initiative enrolled 100 local trucks, who completed 5,382 hauls, which generated $1.6 million for small businesses and residents affected by the storms.

The first-of-its-kind program engaged local businesses to accelerate hurricane debris removal.

Wrapping up our Small Business Week Walks with District 8 🌿👏

Located throughout northeast St. Pete, District 8 is home to a diverse mix of local businesses, neighborhood staples, growing commercial areas, and community focused organizations that all help shape the character and momentum of the district. From small storefronts to service based businesses and local gathering spaces, the district reflects the entrepreneurial spirit that continues to drive St. Pete forward.

It was great getting out into the community, connecting with business owners throughout the district, and learning more about the work they’re doing every day to help St. Pete thrive.
