What an extraordinary and humbling evening for Localism as our Founder & CEO joined Grammy award winning Campanas de America in performance during the inaugural Serenata Gala honoring the remarkable legacy and life’s work of Belle Ortiz.

Belle Ortiz forever changed the cultural and educational landscape of our country through her visionary advocacy for mariachi education in public schools beginning in the 1970s. Because of her tireless dedication and unwavering belief in the power of culture, music, and identity, there are now more than 250 mariachi education programs across the United States, as well as international mariachi competitions celebrated throughout the Americas. Her impact transcends music — it has empowered generations of young people to embrace their heritage with pride and purpose.

We are deeply grateful to have been included in such a historic and heartfelt evening recognizing one of the most influential cultural leaders of our time. At Localism, we believe that preserving and elevating cultural traditions is essential to strengthening communities, identity, and opportunity for future generations.

We look forward to continued collaboration with Campanas de America and leaders across the mariachi community to help sustain and expand Belle Ortiz’s extraordinary legacy for generations to come.

We were honored to celebrate the extraordinary women recognized at the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Women’s Awards — leaders whose vision, resilience, and service continue to shape the future of our community.

At Localism, we firmly believe that empowering women is not simply an act of equity — it is an investment in the economic strength, cultural vitality, and long-term prosperity of our cities and our nation. Women are the driving force behind businesses, institutions, families, and movements that sustain the very fabric of our community every single day.

From boardrooms to classrooms, from entrepreneurship to public service, women across San Antonio continue to break barriers, redefine leadership, and inspire the next generation to dream bigger and lead boldly. Their contributions extend far beyond professional success; they are architects of opportunity, champions of compassion, and stewards of community progress.

Today, we stand in solidarity with women everywhere and reaffirm our commitment to creating pathways for more women to rise to the highest levels of leadership and power in our country. When women lead, communities thrive, economies grow, and the future becomes stronger for everyone.

Congratulations to all of this year’s honorees and thank you for your unwavering leadership, courage, and commitment to making San Antonio a more inclusive, dynamic, and prosperous city for generations to come.

What an extraordinary morning in San Antonio as we welcomed former President of Mexico, Vicente Fox, for a powerful conversation on leadership, democracy, economic cooperation, and the future of North American relations.

Today’s event reflected the heart of Localism, Inc.’s mission: strengthening binational relationships through dialogue, diplomacy, and civic engagement. At a time when collaboration across borders matters more than ever, we are proud to help convene conversations that connect leaders, communities, and ideas across Mexico and the United States.

San Antonio continues to stand as a bridge between nations, cultures, and opportunity. Today, was a powerful reminder of the impact that meaningful binational engagement can have on our collective future.

Special thanks to our incredible partners and supporters for helping make today possible: San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Port EPN, TechBloc, and Chef Johnny Hernandez, Grupo La Gloria.

LSA 50 Class Day 2 was centered on one of the most important pillars of a thriving democracy: civic engagement.

At Localism, Inc., we believe that strong communities are built when people are willing to engage in thoughtful civic discourse, step forward to lead, and participate in shaping the future of their cities, states, and our nation. This conversation reminded us that diverse leadership in positions of influence and power is essential to building a stronger, more representative San Antonio.

Equally important is the commitment to civility. In a time when national conversations can feel increasingly divided, we were reminded that respectful dialogue and a willingness to listen are fundamental to preserving the democratic ideals that bring us together as evolving community leaders. Civic engagement is not a moment—it is a responsibility we must all continue to carry forward.

We also want to give a special thank you to Chef Johnny Hernandez of Grupo La Gloria for hosting an incredible paella lunch that brought us together in true community spirit.

Our gratitude goes out to all of our sponsors, the LSA Class II members, and our Steering Committee Chairs who helped make this program meaningful and impactful.

The work continues. We encourage our community to stay informed, stay engaged, and continue showing up, because the strength of our democracy depends on it.

Please join us in congratulating Richard Garcia Guerrero on his new role at JP Morgan Chase as Vice President – Community Manager for Coastal Orange County!

We are incredibly grateful for Richard’s three years of service to Localism, Inc. and the leadership, trust, and partnership he brought to our clients and work. Localism would not have achieved the level of international growth we experienced especially in Mexico without Richard’s guidance, support, and belief in our vision. His ability to build bridges across borders, sectors, and communities has left a lasting impact on our firm and the clients we serve.

Richard’s career trajectory is a powerful reflection of his commitment to economic opportunity, community investment, and inclusive growth. His work has meaningfully strengthened our country’s vibrant business community—locally, nationally, and globally, and his influence continues to open doors for others to succeed.

While we will miss working alongside him in this chapter, we are immensely proud of what lies ahead. Southern California and the communities JPMorganChase serves are fortunate to have a leader of Richard’s caliber, integrity, and heart.

Congratulations, Richard! Thank you for all you have done for Localism, and for the lasting impact you continue to make. We look forward to cheering you on in this next chapter.

Localism was honored to participate in the Leadership San Antonio Class 50 Opening Retreat last week, an inspiring start to a milestone year focused on reflection, growth, and collective responsibility.

We are grateful to the leaders who made this experience so meaningful—Rudy Garza, Ramiro Cavazos, Angie Mock, David Robinson Sr., and Cappy—for their wisdom, candor, and leadership.

Their reflections reminded us of where San Antonio has come from, the values that have shaped this city, and the intentional leadership required to guide where we must go next.

At Localism, we remain deeply committed to being part of the ongoing evolution of San Antonio—supporting thoughtful leadership, inclusive growth, and community-centered progress.

We look forward to continuing our work alongside our clients and partners to contribute to this shared evolution and to help shape a future that reflects the best of our city and its people.

Localism is honored to have been part of a truly historic evening on San Antonio’s Westside.

Our Founder & CEO was deeply honored to serve as Master of Ceremonies for the grand opening and Posada celebration of Basila Frocks a landmark restored with purpose, dignity, and deep respect for community legacy.

As it reopens, Basila Frocks will serve as a vibrant hub of entrepreneurship, creativity, and community impact—intentionally designed to support small businesses, creatives, and mission-driven organizations while remaining rooted in the Westside’s cultural identity.

The reopening represents more than preservation—it reflects a shared commitment to equitable economic development, cultural pride, and creating pathways for local entrepreneurs to thrive. We are grateful to stand alongside visionary partners like DreamOn Group and Prosper West SA as well as community leaders who continue to invest in the future of the Westside.

Thank you to everyone who came together to honor the past, celebrate the present, and build what comes next. Localism remains committed to uplifting places and people where history, culture, and opportunity intersect.
