Meet the machine designed for de-canning👇

During this process, hydraulic shears cut open catalytic converters to recover the valuable catalyst material inside.

But not all of that material falls neatly into place. Fine particles can become airborne during the process - which is why the machine's built-in dust collection system is so important. It helps capture valuable material that might otherwise be lost.

The recovered catalyst material is then finely ground into a uniform powder before a representative sample is prepared and analyzed in the laboratory.
