🌳 Could Solar Energy And Forest Conservation Share The Same Space?

A South Korean study explored “solar trees”—elevated structures that hold solar panels while leaving more room for existing vegetation below.

In a 3D simulation of a coastal forest site, the proposed layout could retain approximately 99% of forest cover. The findings suggest a possibility worth investigating, rather than a proven result from a completed forest installation.

This Atlanta project combines REC Group solar panels, inverters, and HomeGrid Energy battery storage to generate and store electricity, reduce reliance on the grid, and support backup power during outages.

The panel layout works around the roof’s different sections, dormers, and chimneys, with the inverters and batteries installed in a dedicated equipment space inside the home.

From panel mounting and wiring to inverter setup and battery installation, the work was completed by our in-house team.
