What does “shatter” mean for our little Pinot Noir bunches? Usually it means lower fruit yield (so less wine).

It’s been a weird spring here in the Russian River Valley with an unseasonably warm March getting things off to a speedier start than usual and then late spring rains arriving during the bloom period.

Every year is different when you’re making wine which is what makes every vintage unique. Maybe we will harvest earlier than usual. Maybe we will have a smaller crop. But at the end of the day the 2026 OGV Pinot Noir will have a story to tell and it’s sure to be a delicious one!

Thank you again to Secret Supper for hosting a wonderful event in Dallas, Texas.

Chef Belal Kattan created a beautiful menu designed around the wine selections from Russian River Valley Winegrowers, including our Whole Buncha Love White Blend which he paired with grilled endives.

The conversations, the food, and the wines, were all exquisite.

Let's talk about tacos and traditions...

2025 Endless Crush is here and fans of this wine know that the timing of when the grapes are pressed is linked to the time it takes the winemaker to order and consume two tacos. Winemaking after all is an art and a science.

In 2025 the tacos took roughly 45 minutes more than usual, which meant the grapes sat much longer before the press, resulting in this beautiful color, darker than the ballet pink of past vintages!

Winemaker Kathleen has always been passionate about family traditions so the commitment to tradition in the Endless Crush has made an exciting unique vintage for you to enjoy!

Let's talk about using whole grape clusters in winemaking...

Here at Inman we typically use some destemmed fruit and some whole clusters in most of our red wines.

The quantity of the whole stems we use depends on the stem ripeness. If we get great stem ripeness at harvest, we sometimes go ahead and use 100% whole clusters for some Pinot Noir fermentation.

By using the ripened whole clusters you get more complexity in the wines. If the stems are not ripe, they can give a green flavor to the wine.

Winemaking is an art and so we don't really plan when we're going to go ahead with a whole batch made with whole bunches! That's what makes our Whole Buncha Loves so special.

Owning a winery is one of the weirder, more arduous passions one could pursue. But also the scenery and the product and the people you get to meet who come to taste your wines makes it so worthwhile.
