🚨 STRUCTURE FIRE | BUCKINGHAM
The flames are under control after firefighters rushed to contain a second-alarm fire at the Buckingham Presbyterian Church at 4241 Buckingham Road in Buckingham.
Tice Fire, Fort Myers Shores Fire, and Lee County EMS crews responded to the incident at 10:25 PM Friday evening.
Around 10:55 PM, the incident commander struck a second alarm due to the size and rapid spread of the fire, sending additional crews from Lehigh Acres Fire, Bayshore Fire, and Fort Myers Fire to the scene.
UCBN was live over the scene for an hour and a half as the fire engulfed the building and firefighters slowly worked to contain the flames. Several areas of the building’s roof collapsed or were nearing collapse.
With several firefighters fighting the fire from the ground and the air, the fire appears to have been brought under control around 12:25 AM Saturday morning.
No injuries appear to have occurred during the firefighting efforts.
Due to the size of the fire and the damages sustained, the Bureau of Alcohol, To***co, Fi****ms and Explosives (ATF) is responding to investigate.
Additional photos from the scene can be found on the web version of the article, which has been linked below in the comments.
