Closed a really tricky transaction. Whenever you have a government entity involved in the business, it adds a whole new level of complexity. In addition to that, we had a building with multiple tenants and an SBA lender that was going through a Merger. Took a lot longer to close this one, but I had a good Co-broke partner in who's experience and knowledge helped get this one across the finish line.

Closed another deal Friday. This was a business in CA that was owned by a current client of mine with an AZ Corporation. Shoutout to Marisol Velasquez at Stewart Title in Redlands, CA for all of her help with the Bulk sales process, tax clearance process and all of the regulations and clearances that the State of California requires to close a transaction. I didn't realize how easy we have it in AZ.

Closed a large transaction today — and what a journey it was.
The seller had this business listed with one of Scottsdale's top M&A firms for over 3 years without a single serious offer. The client paid a hefty upfront fee, yet the listing Broker never even made the 3.5-hour drive to visit the operation. Frustrated and stuck, the seller was referred to me by a friend whose business I successfully sold back in 2024 for $7.5M.

There is an old saying that Buyers become Sellers and Sellers become Buyers. In this case, I sold this business 5 years ago and those buyers then reached out to me to sell it when they had to move out of State. Found a great cash buyer that could move quickly and everyone walked away a winner.
