When I was making a career change from teaching high school to tech, I had no idea what I was qualified for.

Turns out that was an advantage.

It forced me to not over-narrow or try to use tools that weren’t built for me as a career changer.

Spoiler alert, I landed a job at Microsoft.

But I didn’t do it by writing the perfect resume that aligned to the job I want. I didn't even choose a specific job title to pursue.

Almost every client I have tells me, “I feel so unqualified when I read job descriptions.”

That’s because the hiring process hasn’t changed since the 1970s.

Before I started my business, my friend invited me to be part of a club for women entrepreneurs. It was completely free, and we would attend monthly.

I loved it.

And then one day, the club showed the yearly revenue of the members. Very few of the members were making enough money to live off their business.

So fast forward to 2020. I was full-time in my business, and it has been going well so far, but it was time for me to really start building this thing.
