ACE recently had the pleasure of helping out at The Frances Pope Memorial Foundation ’s 2026 Beach Ball, an incredible evening raising vital funds to support families with children battling cancer. 💙

Continuing our countdown celebration, ACE is shining a light on another incredible organization making a difference in its community, Alzheimer's Association Connecticut Chapter. 💜

The Alzheimer's Association's 2026 Celebrating Hope Gala was a tremendous success thanks to the leadership of two best friends, Barbara Harty and Maria Puntereri, who served as the 2026 Event Co-Chairs.

United by their shared commitment to ending Alzheimer's, after Maria's mother and Barbara's grandfather were both affected by the disease, they brought their passion, vision, and community together for an unforgettable evening. Inspired by the Mediterranean lifestyle and the U.S. POINTER Study on brain health and prevention, the gala welcomed more than 250 guests and raised an incredible $975,000, making Celebrating Hope the largest standalone fundraiser for the Alzheimer's Association Connecticut Chapter.

At ACE the Event, we're proud to partner with organizations that turn personal stories into lasting impact. Our team and GiveSmart tools helped support the event through promotion, ticketing, sponsorships, auction sales, and a seamless program, allowing the focus to remain on the mission and the hope shared throughout the night.

It’s time for ✨another✨ Nonprofit Day Countdown celebration highlight! Today we’re spotlighting Best Buddies International . 👥

Best Buddies International is a nonprofit organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, inclusive living, and family support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Best Buddies is the largest organization dedicated to ending the social, physical, and economic isolation of the 200 million people worldwide with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The Best Buddies Friendship Program build one-to-one friendships between people with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), offering social interactions while improving the quality of life and level of inclusion for a population that is often isolated and excluded. I’ve had the opportunity to work in education at a zoo and museum, help girls discover their full potential with Girl Scouts, and support families tackling childhood cancer through fundraising.
