Our Environmental Club ended September with the Truckee Meadows Beautiful Annual Truckee River Clean Up! 🌊 Our team volunteered at the Swan Lake location where many birds, reptiles, amphibians, and fish species call their home. Their focus was to clear out invasive species including White Top, Thistles, and Hemlock and cut back willows and other plants encroaching on the path, all while picking up trash and debris along the way.

Once the cleanup was complete, members of the Northwest Nevada Bird Alliance took our team on a bird watch walk across the park and boardwalk.

🦢 Did you know the Swan Lake hosts over 150 species of birds every year?

Thank you to these incredible organizations for everything you do to protect and improve Nevada's amazing local environment! 💙

Last month, the WETLAB crew headed to Greater Nevada Field to watch the Reno Aces take on the Albuquerque Isotopes. The Aces didn’t get the win, but that didn’t stop us from having a great night. It’s always fun getting the team together outside the lab, especially when our Elko team members are able to join! ⚾

Our conference crew had a great time connecting with Nevada’s mining community at the Nevada Mining Association's Annual Conference in beautiful South Lake Tahoe last week!

From insightful presentations to the Reverse Expo, where we had the opportunity to connect directly with mining companies, the conference provided plenty of opportunities to strengthen relationships and learn more about the needs of Nevada’s mining industry. On the final day of the conference, we enjoyed taking part in the annual golf tournament on the beautiful Mountain Course and ending the day with the memorable Celebration of Excellence event! ⛏️💧
