A website should do more than generate interest. It should help you capture opportunities and turn them into relationships.

Whether someone downloads a report, fills out a contact form, requests more information, or books a meeting, every action should flow into a system that helps you follow up consistently.

That's where a CRM becomes essential. Without one, it's easy for leads to slip through the cracks, missed follow-ups become missed opportunities, and potential revenue disappears.

The platform itself matters less than having a process you'll actually stick with. For some businesses, that may even start with a well-organized spreadsheet. The important part is having a system that keeps your contacts organized, reminds you to follow up, and helps you build stronger relationships over time.

The businesses that grow consistently are the ones that consistently stay in touch.

AI may be using your LinkedIn content without giving YOU credit for it. And one surprisingly simple mistake can make that much more likely.

You write:
"We're pleased to announce..."

Okay.
Who is we?

That's obvious to the humans following your company.

It isn't necessarily obvious to an AI system trying to understand who that information belongs to.

According to the research we're covering on Social Surge, when AI uses content but the brand isn't named in the text, citation rates fall from 53% to 10.6%.

That's only one of the problems we're fixing in Part 2 of Social Surge.

We are getting practical with five reasons AI may skip your LinkedIn content:

• You say "we" without naming the company
• The actual experts aren't named
• Your best research never becomes long-form content
• Your headlines aren't written around questions people actually ask
• You're putting links in the comments because somebody once told you that's what LinkedIn wants

And then I'm taking an actual CRE-style transaction post and rewriting it live.

Same facts.
Same basic length.
Same expertise.

But structured so AI has a much better chance of understanding:

Who said it.
What they know.
What company they're associated with.
What market they serve.
What question they're answering.

Because AEO isn't about stuffing keywords into everything you write.

It's about making your expertise easier to understand, attribute, retrieve, and cite.

Every retention problem is a progress problem underneath.

If your members are moving forward, they stay, they tell people, and they renew without thinking about it.

That's the whole business model.

Spam removed. Bots blocked. Your name active in local and niche conversations.

Managing accounts goes past posting. Spam comments sit under your best content. Bots follow and unfollow.

And the conversations happening in your market move on without you in them.

MoVO keeps your accounts clean and keeps you visible where your clients and referral partners are already talking.

Your LinkedIn posts may be reaching a much bigger audience than the people who follow you.

And I don't mean more impressions.

I mean AI.

Semrush analyzed 325,000 prompts and 89,000 LinkedIn URLs cited across ChatGPT Search, Google AI Mode, and Perplexity.

The result?

LinkedIn was the second most cited domain on the internet, behind Reddit.

It appeared in about 11% of AI responses overall and 14.3% of ChatGPT Search responses.

The LinkedIn content getting cited isn't necessarily going viral. Most cited posts have only 15 to 25 reactions. Roughly half of the cited authors have fewer than 10,000 followers.

What shows up repeatedly instead?

Consistency. Expertise. Specificity. Educational content.

So maybe we've been looking at the wrong scoreboard.

On Part 1 of Social Surge, we are breaking down what this research tells us about LinkedIn's role in AI search and what kind of content is actually getting cited.

We'll talk about:
• Why LinkedIn has become such an important AEO surface
• Why you don't need to go viral to get cited
• What consistency has to do with AI visibility
• Why educational content beats promotional content
• The formatting mistake that can make parts of your profile harder for AI to read
• Why CRE professionals may already have an advantage

Your LinkedIn content isn't just feeding your followers anymore. It's helping build the searchable body of information about you and your expertise.

And THAT changes the conversation.

Your LinkedIn reach dropped this spring? The algorithm changed underneath you.

March 2026: LinkedIn swapped its feed system for one that reads posts for meaning.

It rewards time spent reading, saves, and real comment threads. It ignores AI content with nothing personal in it.

People should understand what you do within seconds of landing on your website.

If your headline is filled with buzzwords or vague language, visitors are left trying to figure out what your business actually offers. Most won't spend the time. They'll move on.

Clear messaging makes every other part of your website more effective. Tell people exactly who you help, what services you provide, and how you solve their problem. Whether you represent tenants, landlords, investors, or developers, your value should be obvious from the start.

Your website also needs to focus on your audience, not your résumé. Visitors aren't looking for a long introduction about your company. They're trying to answer one question: "How can you help me?"

When your messaging is simple, relevant, and customer-focused, it's easier for people to see your value and take the next step.

No baseline, no proof of what changed. You'll be reading a report six months from now with no way to check it.

LinkedIn is getting a lot smarter about what gets seen.

And that has some pretty significant implications for the way we're creating content.

According to information recently shared by Social Media Examiner, LinkedIn's feed is increasingly looking at the meaning and relevance of content, along with signals like time spent reading, saves, and substantive conversations.

Even the comments are getting smarter.

LinkedIn is reportedly evaluating comment relevance based on connections, interests, and previous engagement. Translation: 37 people commenting "Great post!" may not be the flex we thought it was.

Then there's AI.

Generic AI content with no personal perspective is exactly the kind of content people are getting tired of seeing. The recommendation from Social Media Examiner is pretty simple: share genuine expertise, useful processes, and a perspective that could actually come from YOU.

On the today's Social Surge, we are digging into:

• What LinkedIn appears to be rewarding now
• Why saves may tell you more than likes
• How comments affect visibility
• Why your comments are content too
• Where AI-generated content goes sideways
• What makes content worth saving
• Why engagement bait needs to die already
• What we know, and what nobody actually knows, about LinkedIn's algorithm

Because despite what the LinkedIn gurus may tell you, LinkedIn hasn't published the exact weighting formula. So maybe skip the "algorithm hack."

Create something useful instead.
