On August 26th, Frankfurt Associate Fabienne Vanessa Helle was again part of a group of top female athletes from around the world who competed at the 2023 Vinfast IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship which took place in Lahti, Finland.

Fabienne attended as a so-called age grouper, in the field of the non-professional athletes. On a beautiful course, she swam 1.9km, cycled 90km, and ran 21.1 km. Fabienne finished the course as 845 out of 2,001 female competitors and became 133 in her age group with a time of 5:27:04, an impressive improvement of over half an hour compared to the previous year.

Ironman only allows athletes to attend at the Ironman 70.3 World Championship that qualified before at one of their qualifying events. Fabienne did so when she again participated at the Ironman 70.3 in Kraichgau, Germany in May 2023.

Fabienne says: “It was an incredibly challenging and humbling experience to join this field of the world’s best athletes already for the second time. The course was stunning and beautiful. The bike part was rolling and fast and the run very challenging with almost 300 altitude meters. I enjoyed every second of this race in which I had the privilege to participate together with a close friend of mine.”

Fabienne frequently competes at similar competitions. She finished her season 2023 at the Ironman 70.3 in Erkner, Germany in which she became 5th of her age group and set a new personal best for the middle distance with a 5:07:45. She did not accept the qualifying slot for the 2024 Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Taupo, New Zealand as she will focus on long instead of middle distance triathlons in her season 2024.

We congratulate her on this renewed achievement and wish her all the best for any upcoming competition in the future.

As we wrap up a busy Pride Month across our BCLP offices, we would like to acknowledge our global BCLP LGBTQ+ populations, clients, and communities. At BCLP, fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels celebrated for who they are remains at the core of our values.

Throughout June and July, our people have come together to show their allyship and stand behind the LGBTQ+ community. Together, we strive for LGBTQ+ equality and are proud to champion their cause within our organization and beyond.

The day is about raising awareness, championing inclusion in schools and workplaces and for celebrating the LGBTQ+ community. IDAHOBIT is an international day for LGBTQ+ human rights and positive social change.
