5/1/91: Hard to grasp sometimes, that today, marks 35yrs. since the first meeting of, The Actors' Network, on Carpenter Ave. in Studio City. Damn. Music Video Contract W&W Meeting

Calling all members who work the music video contract!

SAG-AFTRA will be conducting a national wages and working conditions meeting in preparation for the negotiation of the 2025 SAG-AFTRA Music Video Contract.

Proposals for this negotiation are developed through the involvement of members like you. Make your voice heard and participate in this very important process.

Registration required. The Zoom link will be included with your registration reply. The name on your Zoom account must match the name on your registration to participate.

If you cannot attend, please make sure your voice is heard. You may submit proposal recommendations by email to [email protected]. Recommendations must be received by 5 p.m. PT on Wednesday, Feb. 12.

This meeting is open to active SAG-AFTRA members in good standing (paid through April 30, 2025). No guests are allowed. Parents/guardians of performers under 18 years old are welcome.

Please be advised that Lone Wolf The Feature Film, Inc., the producer of the production entitled Lone Wolf, is in default of the Producer – SAG-AFTRA Codified Basic Agreement of 2014, as amended by the 2017 SAG-AFTRA Memorandum of Agreement, 2020 SAG-AFTRA Memorandum of Agreement, and 2023 SAG-AFTRA Memorandum of Agreement for failure to properly compensate performers.

As such, SAG-AFTRA members are hereby instructed to withhold any acting services or perform any covered work for this production until further notice from the union. We are sharing this Do Not Work Order on behalf of our sister union, the American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA).

AGMA has officially issued a Do Not Work Order for Dallas Black Dance Theatre (DBDT), following a disturbing pattern of escalating actions by DBDT leadership against their dancers after they unanimously voted to unionize with AGMA. The situation reached a critical point on Friday, Aug. 9, when the company took the extreme step of terminating all its dancers.

This Do Not Work Order means that AGMA members, as well as members of the Associated Actors and Artistes of America, more commonly known as the 4As, which includes SAG-AFTRA and Actors' Equity, are prohibited from performing any services for Dallas Black Dance Theatre until the order is lifted and the company agrees to enter into a collective bargaining agreement with AGMA. Violating this order may subject members to discipline, including fines or expulsion. This includes auditioning for DBDT.

But let’s be clear — this is not about penalties; it's about solidarity. An attack on one of us is an attack on all of us. When an employer retaliates against workers who stand together for their rights, they challenge the very principles of fairness, respect, and dignity that the artists of our union fight for every day. Now is the time for unity. By standing strong and honoring this Do Not Work Order, we send a powerful message: we will not tolerate injustice, and we will not allow our sibling union members to be targeted for demanding what is right.

Together, we protect one another, and together, we will prevail.
