🚨 Serious Talk for Maryland Wear and Carry Applicants 🚨
As a former Marine and a 27-year veteran Maryland State Trooper, I've always taken firearm training and carry seriously, because it truly is a matter of life and death.
Every day on the job reinforced that carrying a gun isn't just a right; it's a profound responsibility that demands real knowledge, skill, and discipline.
In my classes, I hear the same thing over and over: "I've never been taught any of this before." Too many people are getting their training from instructors who lack real experience, or worse, just signing off on certificates without proper or ANY instruction. That's dangerous for you, your loved ones, your company and the public.
Maryland requires 16 hours of approved training from a Qualified Handgun Instructor (registered with the Maryland State Police), covering laws, safety, mechanics, mindset, and live-fire proficiency. Make sure they are providing adequate training. Your life and the life of others depend on it.
But not all "training" delivers what you need to carry confidently and legally.
Don't take shortcuts on something this critical. My classes draw from decades of real-world law enforcement and military experience, no fluff, no stuff, no shortcuts.
We cover de-escalation, safe handling, legal use of force, holster work, malfunction clearing, and the mindset to avoid trouble in the first place. You need to be proficient in the "Game of Life."
If you're serious about getting your Wear and Carry permit right, or want to refresh your skills, let's talk. DM me or check the link in bio for upcoming class dates and details. Spots fill fast.
