Theodore Roosevelt left his mark in many ways! Certainly, preserving the most beautiful places in America is a significant part of his legacy.
He federally protected almost 230 million acres of public lands! Those acres included 150 national forests, 51 bird reserves, 5 national parks, and 18 national monuments, to name a few.

Visiting Medora, ND is a great way to honor - and feel a connection to - our Conservation President!

The greatest legacy one can leave is the multitudes of people they impacted and the way those people continue to positively impact others.
That was Dolly's gift to us, and her legacy will be everlasting.
