Michigan's largest compensation survey is here.

ASE has released the 2026 ASE Compensation Survey — covering 600 positions across 467 Michigan employers and more than 110,000 employees. The results show steady wage growth of 3.3% amid continued economic uncertainty and a tightening labor market.

Top-growing job families this year:

🔹 Sales & Marketing — 4.1%
🔹 Field Service/Sales — 4.0%
🔹 Accounting & Finance — 3.7%
🔹 Manufacturing & Plant Management — 3.7%

A California court has allowed a high-profile lawsuit involving allegations of race-based harassment at a Tesla facility to proceed to a jury, underscoring the growing legal and operational risk tied to workplace response systems and HR capacity.

The case raises serious questions about whether complaints were appropriately addressed and whether understaffed HR functions contributed to delayed or ineffective action. For HR leaders, it reinforces how critical it is to have the structure, staffing, and escalation pathways in place to respond quickly when concerns are raised.
