Tulsa crime drops for the fourth year in a row, and police say the city is safer than it was five years ago.

Tulsa Police Chief Dennis Larsen says violent crime is down 8% this year, crediting community involvement and proactive policing. Larsen also said the department has maintained a streak of solving every homicide case for more than two years.

“They have a streak going … of about 27 months since the last unsolved,” Larsen said. “We bring justice to the victims and to the victim’s family.”
