BEGINNER CLASS STARTING SOON!

If you're ready to learn the secrets of stained glass, now is the time! Our three-day "Window in a Weekend" class is coming up on September 18-20. You'll learn the basic art & technique of the age old craft of stained glass. Skills learned include design and drawing lessons, pattern-making, glass cutting, panel assembly, soldering and cementing. Practice your skills while building a leaded panel. Upon completion of the course, you will have the fundamental skills necessary for making basic stained glass windows.

This is also a great refresher class for those who have done stained glass in the past and want to brush up on their skills.

Let your inner artist out to explore with the EMOSY Art Challenge Prompt of the Month.

Each month, a new word will be provided as an inspiration for illustrating your thoughts and feelings into something you can see. The challenge is to turn your impression of the prompt into an image, which can be the beginning of an art project. Then let your inner artist loose in the art medium of your choice to visually express your feelings. It could be drawing, painting, photography, stained glass, mosaics, quilting, needlework, junk journals, collage – the possibilities are endless! It doesn’t matter what it is or what the final project looks like. The goal is not to make something perfect or pretty. The goal is to make something that means something to you.

Once your artwork has been completed, share it with us and the world! EMOSY LEADERSHIP LAB MOSAIC WORKSHOP

The Creative Business Solution

What if solving a problem could begin with pieces of colored glass instead of another long discussion? In this hands-on workshop, participants use stained-glass mosaic pieces to create a 6″ × 6″ visual story representing a problem, the choices surrounding it, and a possible path toward resolution. Artistic experience is not required. The real lesson is not simply making a mosaic—it is learning a repeatable process for thinking, creating, and moving from problem to solution.

Participants work through the EMOSY 5: Explore • Sketch • Refine • Design • Share. The magnitude of the problem determines how much time is spent on each step. With practice, participants can move through the process more naturally and efficiently, helping shorten the journey from uncertainty to purposeful action.

Participants take their completed mosaic home, where the reverse side can become a second chapter through a photographic collage, words, images, or memorabilia that further tells the story.

This workshop is based on the book The EMOSY Leadership Lab by Richard Bohm.

HELP US HELP THE COMMUNITY

Give Creativity. Encourage Hope. Inspire Possibility.

When times are hard and life is overwhelming, a person does not need another lecture or another explanation. They may simply need a pencil, a blank page, a little encouragement, and permission to trust themselves. When life feels lonely, confusing, or difficult to put into words, creativity can provide another way to express what is happening inside.

That is the idea behind the EMOSY Community Arts Initiative. EMOSY combines Emotion + Symbolism and uses five simple fundamentals—Explore, Sketch, Refine, Design, and Share—along with meaningful prompts such as Hope, Family, Courage, Healing, Gratitude, Freedom, Joy, and Purpose. No artistic experience is necessary. The goal is not to make something perfect or pretty. The goal is to make something that means something.

A person might doodle, draw, color, take a photograph, make a collage, or simply spend a few quiet minutes thinking about a prompt. Sometimes the result becomes a piece of art. Sometimes it starts a conversation, brings back a memory, creates laughter, or helps someone look at their world differently. EMOSY encourages people to discover the Inner Artist that already exists within them—the part that imagines, remembers, experiments, feels, and creates.

We created the EMOSY Book Gift Program to put these creative opportunities into more hands. Through this program, EMOSY coloring and activity books and Have Fun with Your Inner Artist book are provided at no charge to individuals, groups, and organizations that can use them. We want someone to be able to open a book, choose a word, pick up a pencil, and discover that they have something worth expressing.

For more than 50 years, Tulsa Stained Glass, established in 1975, has helped people turn color, shape, and light into something meaningful. That experience has grown into the EMOSY Community Arts Initiative. Tulsa Stained Glass is currently funding the development, printing, purchasing, and distribution of these books. We want to continue giving them away and reach many more people, but we need help to make that possible.

Your gift helps us put another book into someone else's hands. You may never meet the person who receives it or see what they create. But somewhere, someone may open that book to a word such as Hope, Courage, Family, Healing, Freedom, or Joy. For a few minutes they can stop worrying about making “good art” and simply make a mark, choose a color, tell a story, remember something important, or discover something about themselves.

We believe the world has enough reasons for people to feel disconnected. We would like to create more reasons for people to connect. Sometimes something as simple as a book, a pencil, a prompt, and a little encouragement can remind someone, “There is still something inside me worth expressing.”

Please help us put more of these books into the community. Make a gift if you can. Share this campaign with your friends, customers, coworkers, or organization. Introduce us to groups that could benefit from receiving books.

Have Fun With Your Inner Artist
Open House & Book Signing

The new book is here! Come join us at Tulsa Stained Glass on Saturday, August 15th to celebrate the arrival of our new book Have Fun with Your Inner Artist.

Your inner artist is the part of you that notices, wonders, chooses, experiments, connects ideas, and turns everyday experiences into something meaningful.

Everyone has an Inner Artist inside them, waiting to be released. It's often hidden underneath artistic self-doubt, but this book will show you how to let yours out to explore and have fun!

The book will guide you to use photographs, prompts, colors, lines, shapes, music, objects, and imagination to discover the creative abilities that have been inside you all along.
