We volunteer with Women in Defense. Check out their scholarships for high school and college.

Women in Defense Michigan established the WID Michigan Scholarship Program in 2009 to encourage women to pursue careers related to the national security and defense interests of the United States, and to provide development opportunities to women already working in these fields. From the program’s inception to date, more than $100,000 in scholarships have been awarded.

Application Deadline is August 15, 2026

Our WID Michigan High School Scholarship is for women in their senior year of high school who plan to attend a Michigan university next fall and are interested in STEM. This scholarship is an exciting first step for many young women to not just begin a career in a STEM field but also in Defense.
