Nobody likes a messy park—especially right now!
We all love our local NC parks, but Canada Geese can leave behind a lot more than just a mess. With Bird Flu (H5N1) making the rounds this spring, those droppings can actually be a health risk for our curious pups and kids.
At Goose Masters, our Border Collies use a "silent stare" to politely tell the geese to find a more remote home.
Cleaner grass for your picnics. Safer paws for your furry friends. A healthier community for everyone.

It only takes a second. We know how fast a Border Collie can move when they spot the geese-children can move just as fast when they see a frozen adventure. Our Goose Masters professionals are on or near water every day, we’ve learned that on local ponds and creeks the ice is rarely as thick as it looks. One slip can send a child or dog sliding straight into frigid water. We love our working dogs and our community. Let’s keep everyone on solid ground this winter. Www.goosemasters.com 336-653-4100

February marks the beginning of nesting season for Canada geese, it’s not just the female on a mission. If you’ve noticed the ganders getting a bit more confrontational it’s not just you.. it’s biology, the males are protecting the pairs territory. He is trying to give his lady space to start the nest building process. Males will fight almost non stop during this time, honking, splashing and it’s not just toward other males, he can be hyper protective against humans too. Don’t get into a wrestling match with a goose, let our Border Collies handle the negotiations.

Goose Masters Declares Autumn "Feast Season" as Geese Flock to Acorns for Favorite Meal
Franklinville, NC. – Goose Masters, North Carolina’s premier professional goose management service, has issued a playful yet informative reminder that the arrival of Fall brings a significant seasonal change in the dining habits of local Canada Geese. While many associate geese with grass and breadcrumbs, Goose Masters confirms that the goose's true autumnal delicacy is the humble acorn.
As the leaves change and acorns drop from oak trees across the region, geese enter a period of voracious feeding known as hyperphagia, preparing for winter migration or the leaner months ahead. Acorns provide a crucial source of fat and carbohydrates, making them an irresistible target for geese.
"For a Canada Goose, Fall isn't just about pretty leaves—it’s about their favorite meal, the acorn," says Gwen Kukendall, Co- Founder of Goose Masters. "We often see them congregating heavily in areas under oak trees, especially on golf courses, parks, and large estates where acorns are abundant. They will actively seek out, crack open, and devour these nuts."
