Mrs Head Rancher reminded me that I had not provided an update on our little heifer IWR Full of Miracles. I’m happy to say that she fully recovered and is dancing around the pasture with her sibs. Miracle is just beautiful and Dam DC Roxy is resting much easier now that the Head Rancher isn’t always messing with her baby!

So happy to announce that Bob Lee BCR 934 is back at Ironwwod Ranch eating our grass! He has worked well at our partners, Commanders Place Longhorns and Lucky 4 U, these last two years. We continue to be impressed by this Swagger and HR Slam’s Rose son. His pedigree needs no explanation. His mild temperament couple with producing some colorful and well built calves makes him a special one to have around.

Well today was a bit of a rodeo. DC Roxy gave us a beautiful little heifer this morning. Unfortunate she has a contracted tendon on her right rear leg. So we consulted with the vet and made her a splint and gave her some meds and hopefully this will come out all right. She’s a little miracle baby out of Roxy and Full House BCR. Meet IWR Full of Miracles 605!

Update on Woody vs Turbo the tortoise. Well the question will remain as evening fell and we could not determine the winner. We are glad to report that “Turbo” has been reunited with his family. Woody unfortunately had to be put in his new Joe Chute for mechanical upgrades to increase his speed. While there, we did get a new measurement. The little boy now posts 126 3/4” TTT ( not including the 6” broken off). So on a TTT basis, he is the clear winner!

So age old question, which is faster the tortoise or the steer? This isn’t something you see at Ironwood Ranch every day - someone’s pet tortoise escaped. Woody was fascinated. Tomorrow is cattle working day so look for updated measurements on our website.
