What was supposed to be two months turned into four years! 🎉

After running the North Valley Chamber of Commerce, Nikki came to the Greater San Fernando Valley Chamber to help us out for a couple of months. Lucky for us, she stayed.

Today, Nikki is our Vice President and has made an incredible impact on our Chamber. Our membership has grown tremendously, she is constantly bringing new people into the Chamber and introducing them to our events, and she brings an energy to everything she does that is impossible to miss.

We’ve always prided ourselves on being a friendly Chamber, and Nikki has dialed that up even more. She makes everyone feel welcome and makes people want to be there.

Happy 4th Chamber anniversary, Nikki! We’re so glad those two months turned into four years. 💙

Financial scams have become more sophisticated, more convincing and harder to stop. Our response needs to keep up.

Our CEO, Nancy, shares her perspective in a new Los Angeles Business Journal op-ed, calling for stronger enforcement, better coordination and real solutions that go after the organized criminal networks behind these scams.

As Nancy writes, “That’s a 1990s solution to a 2026 problem.”

Today we’re celebrating an incredible milestone: 39 years with our President & CEO, Nancy Hoffman Vanyek! 🎉🥂

On August 17, 1987, Nancy joined what was then the Greater Van Nuys Area Chamber of Commerce as Communications Manager. She probably had no idea that 39 years later, she’d still be here, leading what is now the Greater San Fernando Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Along the way, Nancy has helped shape not only the Chamber, but the business community throughout the San Fernando Valley. She has built relationships, championed businesses, brought people together and, as this photo proves, had a lot of fun doing it.

𝟱𝟰% 𝗼𝗳 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘆 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘀𝗮𝘆 𝗟𝗔 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘄𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

At yesterday’s State of the Valley, we shared the results of our Pulse Poll: 54% of Valley business leaders surveyed believe the City of Los Angeles is headed in the wrong direction.

Those results helped set the stage for a candid conversation with Los Angeles City Councilmembers about the issues impacting businesses and communities across the San Fernando Valley.

A Greater San Fernando Valley Chamber of Commerce survey found 54% of local business leaders believe Los Angeles is headed in the wrong direction, as city leaders faced questions about taxes, homelessness, the budget and the 2028 Olympics.

Meet our State of the Valley moderator, Sara Sadhwani, Ph.D.! 🎤

An award-winning political scientist and Assistant Professor of Politics at Pomona College, Sara brings deep expertise in elections, public policy, voting behavior, and governance. Her political analysis has been featured in national and local media including The Washington Post, The New York Times, CNN, NPR, and the Los Angeles Times.

On Thursday, she’ll lead the conversation with the Los Angeles City Councilmembers representing the San Fernando Valley as we tackle some of the biggest issues facing Los Angeles and our business community.
