Neuroaffirming therapy and neurofeedback for neurodivergent adults — ADHD, autism, sensory processing differences, and the people who've spent a lifetime being told they just need to try harder. I'm Rachelle Goldenberg, LCSW — a licensed clinical social worker, neuroaffirming therapist, and, as of a few years ago, a late-diagnosed AuDHD adult. I've spent over 26 years working in this field and in clinical research around neurotypes. But the thing that shapes how I practice isn't just my training — it's knowing firsthand what it's like to spend most of your life feeling like you're failing at something everyone else finds easy. At Swift Mind Care, I work with adults navigating ADHD, autism, sensory processing differences, and the quiet grief of a late diagnosis. If you've spent years wondering why the world felt so much harder for you than it seemed to for others — you're in the right place. LCSW

Have you ever been in a room full of people where everyone is nodding along, and you’re the only one thinking, "Actually, that's not fine"?

It’s an exhausting feeling. It can feel lonely, misunderstood, and make you doubt your own perceptions when everyone else seems content to just "follow the rules."

But that difference in perspective—that ability to see the connections and potential solutions others miss while they look at the big idea—is often a strength. We need people willing to see the world differently. If this image resonates with you, know that you are not alone, and your different perspective is deeply valuable.

Ever looked at an assignment and felt your brain just... freeze? Or you’re telling a story and completely lose your train of thought, like someone suddenly pulled the plug?

That isn't laziness, and you aren't broken. Your brain is just wired differently.

What's actually happening is a glitch in how you perceive time. You can't feel it passing. That paper due tomorrow doesn’t trigger any panic until 11 PM. Your body locks up even when you know exactly what you need to do, and sometimes your mind just checks out mid-sentence with zero warning.

It’s not a character flaw. You aren't doing life wrong .. It’s an executive function issue—your brain struggles to shift gears or hold attention the way school demands.

I see this all the time, and I have a system to help because you aren't stuck this way. Your brain can adapt with some help! (And without medication!)

There’s a supportive tool I use called Myndlift I evaluate the best tools and program the system to help people just like you. This is a system that uses real-time feedback to train your brain to regulate itself. It’s not meditation or medication, it's not fluff either. It literally teaches your brain based on your unique needs, showing it what calm focus feels like so it can do what you're already trying to make it do.

Stop white-knuckling your way through college. You can actually train your brain to make this easier. Learn more at

Training Your Brain to Work With You

Your brain isn't broken. Sometimes it just works harder than it needs to. Neurofeedback helps it find a more efficient rhythm.

We start with a qEEG Brain Mapping—a snapshot of where your brain is working overtime or struggling to regulate. Then we use real-time feedback to help your brain learn what "balanced" feels like. You sit back, watch something you enjoy, and the video stays smooth when your brain produces the patterns we're working toward. If it drifts, the video dims. Over time—usually 20–40 sessions—your brain gets better at finding that balanced state on its own. *And yes you can do it at home!

It's like strength training, but for your nervous system.
Most people notice changes in focus, mood stability, and how easily they can shift gears between tasks. Some people sleep better. Others feel less reactive. Everyone's different, and that's the point—we're training your brain to work the way you need it to.

It's noninvasive, no medication, and your only job is to give it 20 of your spare minutes every other day (or daily even!)

Neurodivergent Assets in industry.

We've built something for the people who've been told they're "too much" at work. Too detail-oriented. Too direct. Too inconsistent. Too questioning.

The truth is simpler: your neurodivergent employees aren't the problem. The way you're measuring them is.

This infographic shows what neurodivergent traits actually mean—and why they matter more than HR usually realizes. It's for leaders, managers, and anyone hiring who's ready to stop fixing neurodivergent minds and start using them.
